안녕하세요. 어쩌다보니 어느덧 서른 중반을 바라보는 남자 아싸입니다. 어찌어찌 살다보니 일단 먹고살 길은 마련했고 아마 쭉 이 일을 하며 살텐데 그 외에 무엇을 하며 살아야 할 지 생각을 좀 해야겠다는 생각을 좀 하고 있습니다. 사실은 작년에 생각을 정리하고 연초를 맞으려 했으나 마땅히 결정을 못내렸습니다. 딱히 이거다 싶은 게 없으면 그냥 뭐라도 손에 잡히는 대로 하려고요 (밥세끼 꾸준히 먹기 + 운동 + 독서 + 외국어). 돈을 벌어 비싼 것도 먹어보고 비싼 술을 마셔보고 해도 딱히 막 즐거운지 모르겠습니다. 막눈에 막입이라 먼가 미식이랑은 거리가 먼가 봅니다. 취미로 게임을 해서 시간 보내는 것도 조금 시들하고... 그냥 그렇습니다. 그렇습니다. 그냥 그렇고 무료해서 고민을 하고 있습니다. 친구들이랑 노는 게 재미는 있는데 대부분 결혼을 해버려서... 자주 만날 수도 없고요. 결혼을 꼭 해야 하나?란 생각도 자주 합니다. 그러나 심심해서... 연애를 하고 결혼을 해서 부캐를 키워볼까 싶기도 한 데 초반 육아가 쉬울 것 같지는 않아 걱정 됩니다. 예쁜 여자를 아주 좋아하지만 없어도 외롭진 않습니다. 문화적 소양도 낮아서 문화 유산, 유적을 봐도 심드렁합니다. 유럽 거리의 예쁜 건물 보는 것, 야경 보는 것, 석양 보는 것 정도는 좋아합니다. 이런 저런 독서하는 것을 좋아하고 국제정세 알아보고 하는 것은 재미가 있습니다. 제가 돈이 많으면 재단을 세워서 여러 문제를 해결하고 싶은데 그럴 돈은 없네요... 결혼을 안(못..)하게 되면 기부를 좀 하면서 봉사활동 다닐까 싶습니다. 사실 이런 고민을 하는 이유는 연말에 읽은 책에서 인생에는 고통이 필요하다는 말을 보았기 때문입니다. 제 인생에도 (일반적인 관점에서) 고통스러울만한 일은 종종 있었지만... 깊이 생각하지 않는 성격이라 별 상처받지 않고 그냥 그렇게 지나왔습니다. 그래서 딱히 고통스러웠나 생각해보면 그렇지가 않아요. 그냥 적당히 모나지 않게 살아오면서 아주 크게 노력하지 않고 살다보니 여기까지 왔습니다. 게임에서도 패턴이 비슷합니다. 롤로 이야기하자면 티어는 충분히 더 올릴 수 있지만 즐거움이 아니라 티어를 위한 게임이 될 것이라... 그냥 부케 여럿 만들어 재미있게 놀았습니다. 즉 편안함의 추구 / 고통을 통한 성장, 이 둘 중 전자의 경험이 압도적으로 큽니다. 하지만 고통을 통해 성장할 수 있다는 말도 맞는 것 같습니다. 그래서 이 고민을 시작했습니다. 이제 무슨 재미로 살면 좋을까요? 혹은 어떤 목표를 가지고 살아야 할까요?
