안녕하세요. 몇 달 전부터 글을 쓰고 싶었는데 다소 민망하기도 하고 어떻게 해야 글을 잘 풀어낼 수 있을지 몰라 고민만 하다 마침내 질문글을 올려봅니다. 저는 30대 초반의 직장인이고, 제목 그대로 지금 제 나이대 사람이 새로운 친구를 사귀려면 어떻게 해야 할지 막막하여 조언을 구하고 싶습니다. 20대 전체를 개인적으로 굉장히 우울하고 괴롭게 보내면서 대학을 다닐 때 거의 새로운 사람을 사귀지 않았고 10대 때의 친구들과도 점차 멀어졌습니다. 비록 불안정한 직장이긴 하지만 일한 지 만 3년이 다 되어가는 최근에야 겨우 회사를 다닌다는 것에 체력적으로 아주아주 조금이나마 적응이 되는 것 같고 늦었지만 새로운 친구, 사적인 인간관계를 만들어보고자 노력하고 싶은데 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠습니다. 사람을 사귀기 위한 목적과는 다소 거리가 있지만 예전에 배웠었고 항상 다시 연주하고 싶었던 악기를 배울 수 있는 직장인 음악학원에 내년부터 다닐 생각을 하고 있습니다. 하지만 학원을 왔다갔다하고 연습하는 데 시간이 많이 쓰이고 무엇보다 워낙 월급이 적은 편이라 학원비가 경제적으로 크게 부담이 되는 상황입니다. 그래서 사실상 월급이 몇 만원이나마 오를 것 같은 내년 봄에야 시작할 수 있을 것 같고 그전에, 혹은 그 후에도 계속해서 그동안 해보지 않은 여러 활동을 해보고 싶습니다. 동호회를 추천하는 글도 많이 보았는데 동호회를 하시는 분들은 어떻게 동호회를 찾으셨고 또 어떤 종류의 동호회 활동에서 좋은 경험을 얻으셨는지도 여쭤보고 싶습니다. 뭔가를 시작하자마자 친한 사람이 생기거나 친구가 생길 거란 생각을 하고 있지는 않습니다. 일단은 스스로에게 변화를 주고 사람사이에 발을 들여놓는 것을 시작하고 싶습니다. 원래 사교적인 성격이 아니고 친해지는 데 시간이 많이 필요한 편이고, 서로 대화코드(?)와 성향이 잘 맞는 사람을 만나는 것이 항상 어렵고 드문 일이었습니다. 친해지는 것 혹은 타인의 입장에서 가까워지고 싶은 사람이 되는 것 자체도 고민하고 싶은 문제이기는 하나 일단은 그건 다음 문제로 두고 사람이 있는 곳에 가는 것으로 시작하고 싶습니다. 학교나 직장이 아닌 곳에서 새로운 사람을 만나고 잘 지내고 계신 분들께 부디 진심으로 조언 부탁드리겠습니다. 감사합니다.
