이사갈 집을 찾아보는데 집 구조가 정말 좋고(방3, 화장실2) 대출도 필요없는 적정 금액입니다. (전세) 그런데 이 집이 그야말로 번화가 한 복판에 있습니다. 양 옆, 앞, 뒤 건물이 다 음식점과 술집이예요. 홀로 빌라가 한 채... 낮에 가봤는데 앞의 뮤직바에서 튼 음악소리가 들립니다. 시끄럽지 않냐고 사시는 분께 여쭤보니 임신하고 아기가 3살 때까지 살아왔는데 괜찮았다고 합니다. 아마 이 집은 늘 TV를 틀어놓는 것 같은데 전 TV를 거의 안 봅니다. 집을 자주 비우지만 주말 아침과 저녁에는 조용한게 중요한데...고민됩니다. 아침에 출근할 때는 가게가 문을 안 열어 괜찮을 것 같은데 퇴근 시나 주말에는 집 앞 골목에 사람이 넘치는 번화가... 다른 분들은 어떻게 생각하시는지 여쭙니다. 선생님께서 말씀하신 곳은 어딘지는 모르겠지만 제 경험을 말씀드리겠습니다.
저는 몇 년 전까지 홍대 인근의 빌라에서 살았습니다.
2002년부터 거주하였고 당시 빌라 주변에는 가정집들이 대부분이었습니다.
그러다 홍대가 점점 핫플레이스가 되면서 골목 집들이 하나 둘 상가로 점령되기 시작했고,
몇 년만에 골목 구석구석까지 카페, 치킨집, 이자카야, 양고기집 등등 식음료집들로 가득 찼습니다.
저희가 이사가기 직전 저 살던 빌라 주변은 전부 상가였습니다. 거의 외딴 섬의 느낌이었습니다.
당연히 밤에 정말 시끄러웠습니다.

기분이 좋지 않거나 민감한 심리 상태일 땐 너무 짜증이 나더라고요.
자다가 깬 적도 당연히 많고요.
뭐 그것 때문에 이사를 간 건 아니었습니다만, 쉬는 공간으로서의 집으로는 분명히 좋지 않았습니다.
참고로 저희가 나가고 난 후 그 빌라는 얼마 지나지 않아 펍 등으로 개조가 되었습니다.
