안녕하세요. 주말에 너무 스트레스를 받아 여쭤보고싶은게 있어서 글을 올려봅니다. 직장생활에 대한 질문입니다. 요새 취업 상황이 안좋고, 그에 비하면 제 행동이 배부른 소리가 될까봐 차마 물어보기에는 조심스러웠습니다. 그런데, 사람인지라 저에게 직접적으로 오는 스트레스가 무척 견디기가 힘들어서 여쭤봅니다. 0.하는 일 저는 연구직에 종사하고 있습니다. 일반적인 팀처럼 박사-석사-(학사)로 체계적으로 구성되어있으면 좋겠지만, 저 포함 4명으로 매우 소규모이고, 저는 석사학위 소지자이고, 다른분은 박사학위 소지자입니다. 또한, 4명의 전공분야는 다 다릅니다. 같은 분야내에서 다른게 아니라, 서로가 서로의 전공에 대해 이해하지 못합니다. 저는 이 팀에 들어온지 1년정도 되었으며, 이팀은 이제 생긴지 2년정도 되었습니다. 1. 제가 힘든 부분 져는 석사학위 소지자이지만, 팀의 여건상 박사학위 소지자의 역할을 해야합니다. 연구 성과가 매우 좋을 것을 요구받습니다. 안타깝게도, 제가 석사학위에 했던것과 지금하고 있는것은 완벽하게 매칭되지 않습니다. 알음알음 구걸해가며 물어보고 배우고 있지만, 힘이 부칩니다. 그래서 업무 능력이 부족한 것과 성과를 요구받는 것이 매우 힘이 듭니다. 가시적인 성과가 나오기 위하여는, 해당 분야를 연구하는 주변 연구자들도 2-3년 이상 걸릴 것으로 평하고 있으나, 해당 업무를 저에게 1년 안에 수행하라고 하며, 해당 업무에 대한 매우 우수한 성과를 창출하기를 요구받습니다. 2. 팀장이 불편하거나 싫은 부분 - 당연하게 여기는 야간/휴일 근무: 휴일은 잦지 않고 빈도가 적거나 거의 없지만, 카톡이나 문자만 봐도 스트레스 입니다. 그런데, 해야하는 것의 대부분은 팀장이 일정관리상 실패한 부분이거나, 특별히 급하지 않아 저에게는 주중에 수행할 수 있을거라 생각됩니다. 주중에는 불필요한 비상시적인 전체회의를 소집하거나 티타임을 가지면서, 업무에 할애하는 시간이 부족하다고 정기적 미팅을 저녁시간으로 배정합니다. 미팅에서는 팀원간 교류가 있다기보다는 팀장의 불평 혹은 업무에 대한 이해 부족에서 오는 질문이 대부분이라 효율은 썩 좋지 않다고 생각됩니다. - 평가에 대한 위협 상시적으로 작은 업무에서부터 큰 업무까지 평가에 반영한다고 언급합니다. 예컨대 연구실을 재구성하는데 필요한 가구 배치, 연구실 현황파악부터, 연구실의 수행 업무를 소개하는 자료까지 범위와 빈도는 매우 잦습니다. 그러나 1월에 세운 평가기준은 4월인 현재 3번 변경되었습니다. 평가기준은 그당시의 팀장의 업무에 대한 이해도에 매우 영향을 받기 때문에 일관성이 없습니다. 그리고 업무 세부 수행사항은 변경되지 않지만, 업무에 대한 분류를 이렇게 저렇게 바꾸어가면서 시간을 낭비합니다. 평가에 대한 언급은 저에게는 협박같이도 들립니다. 그러나, 일반적으로 평가는 연봉순으로 반영한다고 알고있고, 작년에는 연봉순으로 평가를 한것으로 알고 있습니다. 어차피 저는 그래서 꼴지를 하겠지만, 어차피 연말에 기분따라 평가를 할거라는 생각이 듭니다. - 외부자 언급 팀에 배정된 예산을 늘리기 위해 팀장은 노력하고 있습니다. 팀 내부의 연구 진척 정도나 연구 방향보다는, 전체 예산을 늘리는 데 주력합니다. 이 과정에서 여러 내외부 관계자를 만나기도 하고, 팀에 초청해서 만나기도 합니다. 그럴때마다 전체 팀이 진행되는 방향이 바뀌는 것같고, 팀에게 요구되는 것도 달라지는 것 같으며, 잔소리의 내용이 달라져서 매우 스트레스 받습니다. 속으로는, 예산을 늘리는 건 팀장의 몫이고, 수행하는 것은 우리 몫이라면 왜 팀장은 이를 잘 수행하지 못하는 가라고 생각하기도 하며, 왜 거기에 필요한 모든 것을 우리에게 업무 전가를 하나라고 생각이 들기도 합니다. - 휴가 단 하루의 개인적인 용도에 의한 휴가를 허락하지 않습니다.(질병 등 제외) 업무상 공백, 연구성과를 이유로 휴가를 허락하지 않았습니다. 불만도 많고, 황당하기도 합니다. 본인은 그러면서 개인적인 휴가를 내고 자녀의 졸업식에 참석했습니다. 3. 이게 팀을 옮기는데 충분하다고 생각하는지 제가 가지고 있는 고민은 두가지 입니다. - 위에 언급한 일들은 매우 사소한 불만들입니다. 그러나, 저에겐 그게 크게 다가오는게 문제입니다. 불만 하나하나는 뜯어보면 흔하고 사소한 것 같습니다. 가끔은 그냥 이런게 사회생활이지라고 생각하다가도, 왜 여기까지가 내가 견뎌야하는 부분인가라는 생각이 듭니다. - 제가 어느 업무를 수행할 수 있을 지 고민됩니다. 현재 근무하고 있는 곳에서 제가 하고있는 업무와 완벽하게 매칭되는 곳이 있진 않습니다. 팀을 옮겨서도 현재 팀에서 겪었던 과도기적 어려움처럼 배우면서 높은 연구성과를 요구받는다면 그럴 수 없을 것 같아서 무섭습니다. 그래도 쓰면서 어느정도는 제 불만이 이런 거구나 라고 생각도 들고, 조금 더 제 상황을 객관적으로 바라보기도 했습니다. 제가 매우 멘탈이 흔들리는 상황이라 부디 과격한 비난보다는, 따스한 말씀 부탁드립니다. 제가 아직 사회초년생이라 지금까지 당연하게 여기던 것과는 거리가 멀 수 있습니다. 선배님들께 고견을 구해봅니다 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 133 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 146 Warning: Use of undefined constant vote - assumed 'vote' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 161 0 |
