애들 유튜브 틀어주고 마눌님 블로깅 정도에 쓸 홈 피시를 알아보고 있습니다. 처음엔 랩탑으로 알아보다가 우연한 기회에 올인원 이야기를 듣고 알아보니 가성비가 나쁘지 않더군요. 성능도 뭐 게임을 할 게 아니라면 이정도면 됐다 싶구요. 여기서부터 질문입니다. 아무래도 애들 보는거라 스크린이 가장 중요할 것 같은데 제가 아는 거라곤 해상도와 크기 밖에 없답니다. 모니터 전면이 유리처럼 반짝거리는데, 훨씬 더 쨍하고 밝게 보이고 검은색의 표현이 좋아 화질이 좋은것처럼 보입니다.
대신 거울처럼 빛 반사가 심해 번쩍거린다는 단점이 있죠. 스크래치의 위험도 있구요.
Matte 타입은 그 반대고, 검은색이 표현이 Glossy 타입보단 떨어져 비교적 뿌옇게 보인다는 느낌을 받지만, 눈의 피로도는 이쪽이 덜할겁니다.

TFT와 IPS는 패널 방식에 관한 명칭인데, TFT LCD에는 TN, VA, IPS등 여러 종류가 있고, 그중에 하나가 IPS입니다.
TFT LCD같은 LCD와 다른 방식으로는 OLED가 있는데, 고가에 발열이 있고, 화면크기도 작게나와 폰은 모를까 요즘 TV나 모니터에는 잘 안쓰이는 방식이죠.
단순 검색하시면 IPS가 좋다, 이런얘기가 많은데, 어느정도 맞는 말이긴 하지만, IPS도 여러가지 회사에서 나오는 여러 종류가 있습니다.
그야말로 스펙 표기 방식 중 하나일뿐, 구린 IPS도 있기 때문에 반드시 IPS라서 꼭 좋은건 아닙니다.
초기에는 TN방식이 시야각이 안좋은 대신 반응속도가 빠르고, IPS는 시야각이 좋은데 TN보다 반응속도가 느려 예민한 사람은 잔상이 보인다고 하는데,
양쪽다 개선되었지만, TN의 시야각 개선보다 IPS의 반응속도 개선이 좀 더 우월한 편입니다.
(정지화면에선 잘 체감되지 않는 잔상에 비해 TN의 좁은 시야각은 직관적으로 불편함을 유발해 IPS가 많이 쓰이게 된거구요.)
요즘 모니터는 대부분 IPS라서 그것만으로는 스펙을 따져보는데는 큰 의미가 없을 겁니다.
상세한 비교를 하게 된다면 IPS끼리 어떤 IPS인지 알아보시고 비교를 하셔야 될겁니다.
(더불어 TN방식과 VA방식도 오래된 방식이긴 하지만, 가성비 등의 이유로 꾸준히 출시는 되고 있습니다. 개선도 많이 되었구요.

LED백라이트 같은 경우는 LCD방식 쓰는 백라이트의 종류 중 하나인데, 크게 CCFL과 LED가 있습니다.
OLED같은 경우에는 자체적으로 발광하여 이런 백라이트가 필요 없는데,

모니터 전면이 유리처럼 반짝거리는데, 훨씬 더 쨍하고 밝게 보이고 검은색의 표현이 좋아 화질이 좋은것처럼 보입니다.
대신 거울처럼 빛 반사가 심해 번쩍거린다는 단점이 있죠. 스크래치의 위험도 있구요.
Matte 타입은 그 반대고, 검은색이 표현이 Glossy 타입보단 떨어져 비교적 뿌옇게 보인다는 느낌을 받지만, 눈의 피로도는 이쪽이 덜할겁니다.

TFT와 IPS는 패널 방식에 관한 명칭인데, TFT LCD에는 TN, VA, IPS등 여러 종류가 있고, 그중에 하나가 IPS입니다.
TFT LCD같은 LCD와 다른 방식으로는 OLED가 있는데, 고가에 발열이 있고, 화면크기도 작게나와 폰은 모를까 요즘 TV나 모니터에는 잘 안쓰이는 방식이죠.
단순 검색하시면 IPS가 좋다, 이런얘기가 많은데, 어느정도 맞는 말이긴 하지만, IPS도 여러가지 회사에서 나오는 여러 종류가 있습니다.
그야말로 스펙 표기 방식 중 하나일뿐, 구린 IPS도 있기 때문에 반드시 IPS라서 꼭 좋은건 아닙니다.
초기에는 TN방식이 시야각이 안좋은 대신 반응속도가 빠르고, IPS는 시야각이 좋은데 TN보다 반응속도가 느려 예민한 사람은 잔상이 보인다고 하는데,
양쪽다 개선되었지만, TN의 시야각 개선보다 IPS의 반응속도 개선이 좀 더 우월한 편입니다.
(정지화면에선 잘 체감되지 않는 잔상에 비해 TN의 좁은 시야각은 직관적으로 불편함을 유발해 IPS가 많이 쓰이게 된거구요.)
요즘 모니터는 대부분 IPS라서 그것만으로는 스펙을 따져보는데는 큰 의미가 없을 겁니다.
