https://news.naver.com/main/read.naver?mode=LPOD&mid=sec&oid=023&aid=0003662988 <2조 투입된 누리호의 초보적 설계 실수… “비행중 폭발 안한게 다행”> 지난 10월 21일 발사된 한국형 발사체 누리호가 실패한 것은 어이없을 정도로 초보적인 설계 오류 때문으로 드러났다. 정부는 누리호 발사를 두고 “위성을 궤도에는 못 올렸지만 전 비행 과정은 정상적으로 수행한 사실상 성공”이라고 자평했지만 실제로는 폭발하지 않은 것이 다행일 정도의 문제를 안고 우주로 날아올랐다는 것이다. 조사 결과 산화제 탱크 안의 헬륨 탱크가 실패의 핵심 원인으로 지목됐다. 3단 산화제 탱크 안에는 산화제와 함께 헬륨 탱크 두 개가 들어 있다. 엔진이 연소하면서 산화제가 줄어드는데 헬륨은 산화제 탱크 내부 압력을 유지하는 역할이다. 그래야 산화제가 일정하게 엔진에 공급된다. 헬륨 탱크는 액체 상태의 산화제 속에서 떠다니지 않도록 산화제 탱크 안에 고정 장치로 묶어놨다. 하지만 누리호의 비행 중 헬륨 탱크에 가해지는 액체 산소의 부력이 커지며 고정 장치가 풀리고, 떨어져 나온 헬륨 탱크가 산화제 탱크 안을 돌아다니면서 내부에 균열을 내고 결국 산화제가 누설된 것으로 조사됐다. 한 항공우주공학과 교수는 “지상에서의 조건만 고려해 설계한 건 아주 초보적인 실수”라고 말했다. 개발에 1조9572억원이 투입된 누리호가 어이없는 실수탓에 실패한 것이다. 한 항우연 연구자는 “발사 직후 정부는 누리호의 전 비행 과정이 정상적으로 수행됐고 위성모사체의 궤도 안착만 성공하지 못한 것이라고 밝혔지만, 조사 결과를 보면 로켓이 중간에 폭발하지 않은 것만으로도 다행”이라고 말했다. ---------------------- 오늘 모 언론사 기사인데요. 문과 출신이라 이과 쪽 이론도 가물가물하고 조직 문화도 잘 몰라서... 누리호 3단 엔진이 46초 일찍 꺼진 이유가, 비행 가속도 생각 못하고, 중력 1G에 대한 부력만 계산해 설계했는데 실제 비행 때 4.3G에 대한 부력이 생겨서라 하네요. 부력이 설계보다 커지니 산화제 탱크 안의 헬륨탱크를 고정하는 장치가 풀려서 헬륨탱크가 이탈하고 배관을 손상시켜 헬륨이 새니까 산화제 탱크에 금이 갔다, 그래서 산화제가 새서 연료가 충분하지 않았다고 하네요. 이걸 만든 회사가 두원중공업이라고 하던데 이게 초보적 실수, 말도 안 되는 일인지 이공계 쪽 일이란 게 원래 이렇게 구멍이 날 수 있는데 외부에선 <초보적 실수>라고 편하게 얘기하는 건지 궁금하네요. 혹 이공계쪽 종사하시는 분들은 어떻게 생각하시나요?
