제가 열살 정도일 때 부모님이 이혼하시고, 어머니께서 혼자 절 키우셨습니다. 직업이 있으시긴 했지만 급여가 거의 없는 명예직 같은 거여서, 고정 수입 없이 그냥 집을 줄여오며 생활하셨고, 현재 60대 초반이신데 이제는 제가 생활비를 100% 지원해 드려야 하는 상황인 것 같습니다.
제가 어렸을 때부터 나중에 월300씩 30년간 대라는 말씀을 지나가듯 몇 번 하신 적이 있어서 제가 놀란 적이 있는데, 고생해서 훌륭하게 키워주셨고 노후 대책이 없으니 자식이 알아서 그리 해주면 좋겠다는 희망사항이라는 생각이 들고요. 고소득자라서 스트레스 받지 않고 넉넉히 지원을 해드릴 수 있으면 물론 좋겠지만, 대학원 진학으로 일을 늦게 시작한 편이라 현재는 독립하여 제 생활하고, 미래를 위한 저축을 좀 하고나면 그리 여유로운 상황은 아닙니다. 다만 제가 프리랜서라 일을 늘리기 위해, 별로 하고 싶지 않은 프로젝트까지 맡는다면 월 150정도는 지원 가능할 것 같습니다.
근데 이제 시작인데요. 제가 이 지원을 언제까지 유지할 수 있을지 겁도 나고, 생각만으로도 벌써 마음이 좀 무겁고 지칩니다. 참고로 현재 저는 아직 미혼이고, 외동이라 상의하거나 부양의 책임을 나눌 형제는 없습니다. 제 삶과 행복도 지키면서, 도리도 하고 싶은데 익명의 힘을 빌어서 조언이 될 만한 그 어떤 말씀이라도 귀담아 듣고 싶어서 글 올려봅니다. 읽어주셔서 감사합니다.
