20 대의 저는 내가 좋아하는 걸 쭉 파면 그걸로 먹고 살 수 있을 것이고, 좋아하는 일을 직업으로 삼고 그걸로 자아실현을 할 수 있을거라 생각했어요. 그런데 대학교 일반 인문계 과 들어가서 학부 졸업하고 대학원 석박사 통합과정까지 하고 있었는데... 흔히 말하는 좋은 대학교 들어간 분들은 공감할 수도 있을텐데요, 고등학교때는 부산의 일반 인문계 고등학교서 운좋게 전교 1등도 2 번 정도 해봐서, 내 실력에 자신감도 가지고 교수를 목표로 달렸는데, 막상 대학원 가니까 나보다 더 뛰어난 괴수들이 너무 많았어요. 제 생각에, 그나마 교수 될 가능성 있으려면, 최소 대학원 내에서라도 실력으로 두각을 드러내야 하는데, 막상 대학원 들어가서는, 질적으로나 양적으로나, 학부와는 비교도 안되는 과제나 연구 따라가기도 벅차고... 막 그렇게 헤매다가 제 능력에 현타도 오고 슬럼프도 심하게 와서 대학원은 수료까지만 하고 졸업도 제대로 못하고 탈출하다시피 나왔어요.. 교수와의 관계도 안 좋았고... 그렇게 해서 정신줄 놓은 채로 1년 반 정도 백수로 지내다가, 아무것도 못 이룬 채, 어느새 30대 중반이 되 버리고, 올 추석 다가오니까 갑자기 확 겁이 납니다. 아 진짜 인생 *망 테크 타고 있구나... 나름 명문대도 나왔는데, 오히려 지방대 공대 가서 지금은 삼전 다니는 내 고등학교 동창보다 확 쳐지고 있구나... 지난 1년 반 동안 백수짓하면서 하고 싶었던 게임이나 실컷 했는데, 이제는 게임을 하거나 다른 걸로 놀아도 흥미도 안 생기고 불면증 증세도 생겼습니다 불안해서... 전공은 걍 순수 문과쪽이고 대학원 전공도 비슷한 거라 커리어적인 측면에서 취업에는 전혀 도움이 될 것 같지 않고... 아무 커리어나 자격증도 없이 어영부영 하다 30대 중반이 되 버렸는데, 이러다 진짜 인생 *망테크 타서 나중에 목매달까 요새 잠도 잘 안와요.. 제 생각에 그나마 지금이라도 가능성 있는게 공무원 시험 혹은 공기업 시험인데, 이 것 외에 가능성 있는게 더 없을까요? 먹고 살 다른 가능성은 더 없는지... 아니면 다음주라도 노량진 가서 공무원 학원 가야 할까요. 그나마 돈은 조금 모아놔서 한 3- 4 년 정도는 생활비가 있는데, 이거 다 쓰면 진짜 공장 들어가거나 노가다 하거나 목 매달거나... 요새 밤만 되면 너무 불안해서 불면증 증세도 생겼습니다... 친한 친구 혹은 가족이라 생각하시고 조언 좀 해주면 감사드리겠습니다..
