안녕하세요. 운영진 Toby입니다. 지난 주 해외거주자 분들의 홍차넷 접속속도가 매우 느려지는 문제가 있었는데요. 서버관리와 회선을 제공하고 있는 업체에 문의해본 결과 그 원인이 대략적으로 파악이 되었습니다. 홍차넷 서버와 같은 네트워크를 사용하고 있는 다른 서버중 해외로부터 대량의 디도스 공격을 당한 서비스가 있었고, 그 때문에 같은 네트워크를 사용하는 홍차넷 서버에도 해외 접속이 느려지는 결과가 생겼습니다. 보통 디도스를 방어해내는 것이 대형 업체가 아닌 이상 상당히 어렵습니다. 때문에 보통의 경우 디도스에 대한 대응은 디도스 공격 받는 세입자 서버를 쫓아내는 방식으로 이뤄지는 경우가 많습니다. 이번에도 디도스 공격 받은 서버는 업체에서 쫓겨나고 마무리 된 것으로 보입니다. 혹시 유사한 상황이 다시 발생할 것에 대비하여 전체 네트워크에 대한 해외망 할당도 늘렸다고 합니다. 아마 제가 문의하지 않았으면 이에 대한 상황 파악도 늦게 되어, 이번 주 까지도 계속 접속 속도가 느렸을 가능성이 높았다고 생각합니다. 그러니 앞으로도 해외 접속속도가 느리면, 제가 알 수 있는 수단을 활용하여 속도가 느리다고 저를 달달 볶으시면 되겠습니다. 그러면 저는 또 업체쪽을 달달 볶아 해결하도록 하겠습니다.
