여기서는 주대환의 포지션이 중요하죠. 주대환은 70년대부터 90년대까지 급진 좌파 활동을 하다가 90년대 중후반 들어 의회주의 노선을 취하면서 한국노동당-민주노동당 활동을 했고, 00년대 이후로는 '뉴 레프트'를 자처하면서 '올드 레프트'를 비판하는 데에 앞장 선 인물이니까요. 쉽게 말해서 87년 이후의 상도동계/동교동계 정치인들이나 이후의 '친노'들처럼 운동권 활동을 밑천 삼아 제도권으로 들어간 건 아니지만 좌파 내부에서는 제도주의적 경향을 보였고, 자연히 아웃사이더로 취급받아 내부 노선 투쟁에서 도태되었으며, 그러다보니 좌파 주... 더 보기

근데 이런 포지션 자체가 사실 진보주의자들 사이에서는 웃음거리 이상이 안 됩니다. '어휴 아재들 노답 나도 같은 아재지만 나는 다름'이라면서 자신의 '청춘성'을 과시하고 과장하는 자칭(타칭이 아니라) '패션 아재'들 같은 건데, 이런다고 해봐야 오히려 더더욱 아재인 게 티나니까요. 애초에 '뉴 레프트'란 어휘가 주대환이 새로 만든 것이 아니라 68운동을 계기로 형성된 신좌파를 말하는데, 지금은 그 신좌파들조차도 틀딱으로 까이는 실정(그 세대 사람들이 지금 연배가 70대니까)...근데도 아직까지 뉴 레프트를 무슨 자신이 새로 주창한 정치운동인 양 강조하면서 나머지를 올드 레프트로 싸잡아 타작한다는 건 전형적인 허수아비치기죠. 뭐 비유를 하자면 이미 락과 힙합의 콜라보가 진행된지 20년이 훨씬 넘는 상황임에도 불구하고 힙합퍼들과 라커들을 싸잡아 편협하다고 공격하면서 '지금까지의 락과 힙합은 썩었다. 나는 두 장르가 조화된 힙락을 하겠다'는 선언을 하는 식이죠. 아무 실체가 없는 정치적 수사를 팔아먹으면서 자신의 '패션성'을 강조한다는 점에서 정치적 스노비즘이라고 할 수 있고.
그러다보니 좌파 내부에선 말빨이 먹힐 수가 없고, 애초에 좌파에 관심 없는 민주당계 지지자들에게는 아웃 오브 안중이 될 수밖에 없으니, '이념팔이'가 가능한 건 조중동 같은 보수 언론 밖에 없습니다. 보수 언론 입장에서는 워낙 운동권 이력이 화려한 인물이다보니 '진보의 입을 빌어 진보를 비판하는' 용도로 쓰기에 좋습니다. '어휴 아재들 노답 나도 같은 아재지만 나는 다름'이라면서 자신의 '청춘성'을 과시하고 과장하는 자칭(타칭이 아니라) '패션 아재'들 같은 건데, 이런다고 해봐야 오히려 더더욱 아재인 게 티나니까요. 애초에 '뉴 레프트'란 어휘가 주대환이 새로 만든 것이 아니라 68운동을 계기로 형성된 신좌파를 말하는데, 지금은 그 신좌파들조차도 틀딱으로 까이는 실정(그 세대 사람들이 지금 연배가 70대니까)...근데도 아직까지 뉴 레프트를 무슨 자신이 새로 주창한 정치운동인 양 강조하면서 나머지를 올드 레프트로 싸잡아 타작한다는 건 전형적인 허수아비치기죠. 뭐 비유를 하자면 이미 락과 힙합의 콜라보가 진행된지 20년이 훨씬 넘는 상황임에도 불구하고 힙합퍼들과 라커들을 싸잡아 편협하다고 공격하면서 '지금까지의 락과 힙합은 썩었다. 나는 두 장르가 조화된 힙락을 하겠다'는 선언을 하는 식이죠. 아무 실체가 없는 정치적 수사를 팔아먹으면서 자신의 '패션성'을 강조한다는 점에서 정치적 스노비즘이라고 할 수 있고.
