-> 저도 이 이야기에 동의합니다. 진짜 온갖 것에 대한 말들이 많아서 혼란스러울 지경이라 뭘 선택하기도 힘듭니다. 그러나 문제는 그 힘들게 하는 육아법이 필부들 사이에서 번지는 루머같은 것도 있겠지만 전문가랍시고 온갖 이상한 자기 이론 기반으로 육아법을 설파하는 사람들이 있는데 그게 통제도 규제도 안되는것 역시 문제라고 생각합니다. 대표적인 예로 한의사 자격증 들고서 안아키를 외쳤던 어떤 정신나간 사람이 떠오릅니다.
[부모의 권위가 명확하고, 그 권위로 가정의 규칙과 한계를 명확히 해주면서 그 틀에 아이들을 마음껏 풀어놓고 사랑해주면 된다. 그럼 아이들은 그 속에서 자연스럽게 훈육이 되고 가족의 구성원으로 성장한다.]
-> 저도 명확한 선을 그어주는 육아법은 찬성합니다. 저도 그렇게 하고 있고 그 덕에 아이들과 적정 선을 지키면서도 잘 지낼 수 있다고 생각합니다. 그러나 그런 육아법은 아이러니하게도 누가 가르쳐주는 이가 적습니다. 그런 육아법은 옛날 어른들도 잘 가르쳐 주지 못합니다. 교수님은 옛날엔 안그랬다, 하시는데 옛날에 오히려 선을 잘 그어주는 육아법이 더 없었다고 생각합니다. 그랬다면 다들 그렇게 벌벌 떨면서 저녁밥상에 앉진 않았겠죠. 저희 세대 애들 중에 부모님한테 손찌검 안 당하고 학교에서 안 맞아본 애들이 드물텐데, 그게 정말 육아와 성장에 도움되었다고 생각하시는건 아닐거라 생각하고 싶습니다. 그리고 옛날엔 다들 동네 풀어놓고 다녔다 어쨌다 하는데, 그러다 없어지고 저세상 간 애들이 지금보다 훠훠훠훨씬 많다는 것도 아셔야 합니다.

경제 문제가 저출산의 핵심 원인은 아니라고 하셨는데, 저출산은 결혼한 커플들이 애를 적게 낳는게 문제가 아닙니다. 제 아이들 주변 부부들을 봤을 때 아이를 하나만 낳는 집의 비중은 정말 정말 적습니다. 저출산은 결혼을 안하는게 문제고, 결혼을 안하는것은 경제적인 이유가 큽니다. 물론 최근 3-4년 사이에 기혼 부부의 출산율이 많이 떨어지긴 했지만 근본적인 원인은 경제적인 이유에 따른 만혼이라고 생각합니다.
개인적인 생각을 적어보자면,
육아 자체에는 부모의 공이 많이 들어가야 하는게 맞습니다. 그간은 엄마의 희생에 기댄 부분이 많았고, 엄마의 희생에 기댔던 것은 아빠들이 집에 들어오지 못할 정도로 바쁘게 일했기 때문입니다. 이제는 외벌이만으로는 충분한 가처분 소득을 얻기 힘들어진 세상이 되었고, 그로 인해서 아이들 육아의 난이도는 더 상승할 수 밖에 없었습니다. 하지만 우리나라의 시스템은 그다지 육아에 친절하지 못했고, 그로 인해 많은 사회문제들이 발생하고 경제적인 문제까지 겹쳐 결혼과 육아 자체의 괴로움이 그것이 주는 사랑과 행복과 즐거움 보다 커진 것이 문제라고 생각합니다. 사람들이 멍청해서 애를 안낳는게 아닙니다. 사람들이 이기적이고 육아를 할 줄 몰라서 애를 안 낳는게 아닙니다. 가처분 소득이 늘고, 부모가 육아에 참여할 수 있는 시간이 늘어나는 시스템이 사회문화로 자리를 잡고, 늦지 않게 취직하고 결혼해서 아이와 함께 하는 행복을 맛보고, 선배 세대가 결혼과 육아를 하면서 힘들지만 또 행복하게 지내는걸 후배세대들이 보면서 성장할 수 있도록 해야 저출산 문제가 해결될거라고 보는데, 저보다 더 윗 세대의 분들은 교수님처럼 라떼는 말이야, 요즘애들은 ㅉㅉㅉ 만 반복하거나 아니면 언 발에 오줌누는 쓸데 없는 정책만 펴고 있기 때문에 문제가 해결될 기미가 보이지 않네요.
교수님 인터뷰 내용 꼼꼼히 읽어보면 지금 애 낳고 사는 세대 입장에서는 실상과 맞지 않는, 별로 근거 없는 자기 생각들 뿐인거 같습니다.
좀 험한 말이지만, 교수님같이 생각하시는 분이 많을수록 젊은 세대들은 더욱 더 육아에 대해서 혐오를 느낄겁니다.
-> 맞는 말이긴 한데, 시부모님/장인장모의 구시대적이고 근거 없는 육아법때문에 트러블을 겪는 집안들도 많습니다.
저 같은 경우 저랑 와이프랑 둘이서 (양가 부모님 도움 없이) 애들을 키웠는데, 가끔가다 어른들이 아이들 봐주실 때 식겁할 때가 많았습니다. 오히려 어른들이 저희보다 애들을 더 못 다루시는 경우도 있던데, 이해 해야 합니다. 그분들 시절에는 전근대적인 육아법이 성행했었고, 육아 자체를 30년전에 해보셨으니 서툴거나 틀릴 수 밖에요.

-> 저도 이 이야기에 동의합니다. 진짜 온갖 것에 대한 말들이 많아서 혼란스러울 지경이라 뭘 선택하기도 힘듭니다. 그러나 문제는 그 힘들게 하는 육아법이 필부들 사이에서 번지는 루머같은 것도 있겠지만 전문가랍시고 온갖 이상한 자기 이론 기반으로 육아법을 설파하는 사람들이 있는데 그게 통제도 규제도 안되는것 역시 문제라고 생각합니다. 대표적인 예로 한의사 자격증 들고서 안아키를 외쳤던 어떤 정신나간 사람이 떠오릅니다.
[부모의 권위가 명확하고, 그 권위로 가정의 규칙과 한계를 명확히 해주면서 그 틀에 아이들을 마음껏 풀어놓고 사랑해주면 된다. 그럼 아이들은 그 속에서 자연스럽게 훈육이 되고 가족의 구성원으로 성장한다.]
-> 저도 명확한 선을 그어주는 육아법은 찬성합니다. 저도 그렇게 하고 있고 그 덕에 아이들과 적정 선을 지키면서도 잘 지낼 수 있다고 생각합니다. 그러나 그런 육아법은 아이러니하게도 누가 가르쳐주는 이가 적습니다. 그런 육아법은 옛날 어른들도 잘 가르쳐 주지 못합니다. 교수님은 옛날엔 안그랬다, 하시는데 옛날에 오히려 선을 잘 그어주는 육아법이 더 없었다고 생각합니다. 그랬다면 다들 그렇게 벌벌 떨면서 저녁밥상에 앉진 않았겠죠. 저희 세대 애들 중에 부모님한테 손찌검 안 당하고 학교에서 안 맞아본 애들이 드물텐데, 그게 정말 육아와 성장에 도움되었다고 생각하시는건 아닐거라 생각하고 싶습니다. 그리고 옛날엔 다들 동네 풀어놓고 다녔다 어쨌다 하는데, 그러다 없어지고 저세상 간 애들이 지금보다 훠훠훠훨씬 많다는 것도 아셔야 합니다.
