 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAA0-vjTaNY <ZDNet> IBM at CES 2019 outlines Q System One quantum computer https://www.zdnet.com/article/ibm-at-ces-2019-outlines-q-system-one-quantum-computer/ <Engadget> IBM's latest quantum computer is a 20-qubit work of art https://www.engadget.com/2019/01/08/ibm-q-system-one-quantum-computer/ 오는 11일까지 미국 네바다주 라스베이거스 컨벤션 센터에서 열리는 국제 가전 전시회인 CES 2019에서 IBM이 세계 최초로 상용화되는 범용 양자컴퓨터인 [Q System One]을 발표했습니다. 이 양자컴퓨터는 20큐비트(qubit)의 성능으로, 밀폐된 유리상자 속에 매달린 극저온 냉동용기 속에서 작동합니다. 엄밀히 말해서, 이전에도 캐나다에 위치한 D-Wave Systems사에서는 “양자 어닐링 컴퓨터”라는 것을 개발하여 판매한 적이 있었습니다. 하지만 해당 시스템은 정해진 용도로만 쓸 수 있는 특수목적용 컴퓨터라서 범용이 아니기 때문에, 진정한 양자 컴퓨터로 볼 수 없다는 비판이 IBM 소속 과학자로부터 나온 적이 있습니다. 바로 그 IBM으로부터 진짜 범용 양자 컴퓨터가 상용화되는 것이죠. 아쉽게도, CES 전시장에 전시되어 있는 것은 제품의 실물이 아닌 모형이라고 합니다. 그리고 20큐비트의 스펙은 양자 우위(양자컴퓨터가 기존 슈퍼컴퓨터의 성능을 뛰어넘는 것)를 달성하기에는 모자랍니다. 하지만 자동 보정 기술을 통해 제어가 까다로운 큐비트를 제품으로서 상용화할 정도로 안정화하였다고 선언하는 이정표로서의 가치는 충분할 것 같군요.
