현재 근무중인 회사에 보드게임 마스터가 한 분 계십니다. 게임도 많이 하시면서 직접 보드게임 제작도 하시고, 해외 관련 행사도 다니시고 하시는 분이시지요. 덕분에 회사에서 편하게 재미있는 게임들을 많이 추천 받아서 해보고 있습니다. 다양한 게임들을 다 플레이 해보신 분이 그 중에 재미있는 게임들 위주로 소개해주시기 때문에 '이건 별로 재미 없네' 싶은 경우도 많지 않아서 좋지요. 제가 재미있게 즐긴 게임들 조금 소개해드려보겠습니다. 완벽한 게임룰을 소개하면 너무 글이 길어지니 자세한 소개는 링크로 대신하고, 간단하게만 설명을 덧붙이도록 하겠습니다. 스플렌더소개 : http://www.koreaboardgames.com/product_list.htm?mode=view&no=279 Board Game Geek 순위 : 71 (가족게임 8위) 질리지 않고 오래 할만한 2~4인용 게임입니다. 저희 회사 분들이 제일 많이 하는 게임이구요. 가볍게 배울 수 있으면서도 재미있어 여성분들이 많이 선호하시더군요. 자기 턴에 자원이 되는 색상코인을 3개 집거나, 자원역할을 하는 보석카드를 구매할 수 있습니다. 구매한 보석카드를 자원 삼아 더 비싼 보석카드를 살 수 있구요. 그렇게 계속 카드를 모아서 먼저 15점에 도달하는 사람이 승리하는 게임입니다. 자원을 많이 투자하지 않고 싸게 구매할 수 있는 카드와 고득점 카드를 상대보다 먼저 취하면서 상대보다 빨리 15점에 도달 하기 위해 전략적으로 어떤 색상의 보석카드를 모아야 할지를 고민하는 재미가 있습니다. 보통 한턴으로 승패가 갈리는데 가끔 전략을 잘 짜면 압살하는 게임이 나오기도 합니다.  저도 하나 구매했구요. 턱박스라는 박스를 사면 이렇게 컴팩트하게 박스 압축이 가능합니다. 턱박스가 없으면 갤럭시 스마트폰 박스를 써도 잘 맞는다고 합니다.  아내와 함께 집에서 게임하면서 찍은 사진입니다. 4인용이 가장 재미있지만 2인용도 꽤 할만합니다. 코드네임소개 : http://www.divedice.com/shop/gboard/bbs/board.php?bo_table=rev&wr_id=6603 Board Game Geek 순위 : 32 (파티게임 1위) 현재 보드게임긱의 파티게임 랭킹 1위를 차지하고 있는 게임입니다. 올해 발매된 게임인데 발매 첫해에 1위를 할만큼 매력이 있는 게임이지요.  게임은 2명이 한 팀이 되어 한명이 문제를 내고 한명이 문제를 맞추는 게임입니다. 레드,블루 팀으로 나뉘는데 자신의 팀이 뒤집어야 하는 색상카드가 있는 자리의 단어를 맞출 수 있도록 한 단어의 힌트를 줍니다. 한 단어로 설명하다보니 생각보다 맞추기가 어렵습니다. 예를 들어, nut과 bark라는 단어를 맞춰주길 기대하면서 '나무'라는 단어를 제시해도 맞추는 사람은 맞추기 어려운 것이지요. Bark는 나무껍질이라는 뜻도 있는 동시에 짖다라는 뜻도 있으니까요. 그래서 'bed는 나무로 만들어져있지' 하면서 bed를 집는 일이 생깁니다. 이런 의외성에서 오는 재미가 있지요. 길게하기보다 짧게 한 두 판 즐기기에 좋은 게임입니다. 아직 한글판이 나오지 않았지만 모두 쉬운 영어로 되어있어 성인이 즐기는데는 큰 무리가 없구요. 저는 이 게임덕분에 아마존 구매를 처음해봤습니다. 카베르나소개 : http://www.divedice.com/shop/gboard/bbs/board.php?bo_table=rev&wr_id=5624 Board Game Geek 순위 : 4 (전략게임 4위) 아그리콜라의 후속작으로 알려진 게임이지만, 현재는 7위인 아그리콜라보다 순위가 높네요. 앞서 소개한 게임들보다는 좀 더 게임시간이 길고 복잡한 게임입니다. 아무래도 이런 게임들이 몰입해서 플레이하기에는 훨씬 좋고, 그만큼 재미도 있습니다. 1~7인용 게임인데 사람수 곱하기 30분 정도의 게임시간이 소요됩니다.  밭을 일구고, 동굴을 파고, 자원을 모으고, 무기를 만들고, 작물을 심고, 가축을 번식시키면서 자원을 불려 최종 스코어 계산으로 순위를 내는 게임입니다. 싼값에 할인을 하는 이벤트가 있어서 구매를 했는데, 구성품이 깔끔해서 소장에 대한 만족감이 크더군요. 이래서 사람들이 게임을 사모으는구나 싶었습니다. 하지만 회사사람들 외에는 같이 할 사람이 없어서 회사 밖에서는 한 번도 못해봤다는게 함정.  구성품을 잘 정리해서 담을 수 있는 오거나이저를 따로 구입하면 구성품 정리가 좋습니다. 원래는 비닐봉투에 담아서 보관하게 되어있는데, 그러려면 매번 게임할 때마다 정리하는게 꽤 번거롭거든요. 황혼의 투쟁소개 : http://bgreview.tistory.com/1 Board Game Geek 순위 : 1 (전략게임 1위) 무려 1위 게임입니다. 2005년에 발매된 게임인데 1위를 지켜오고 있다는 점이 대단하지요. 이 게임은 미국과 소련의 냉전시대를 배경으로 하는 2인용 게임입니다. 플레이어는 양국 중 하나를 택해서 플레이 하게 됩니다.  초기/중기/후기 냉전으로 나뉘고 하스스톤 하듯이 섞어서 나온 카드를 쥐고 서로 번갈아가면서 내는데, 피델 카스트로, 바르샤바 조약기구, 마샬 플랜, NATO 같은 사건 카드들을 내는 식입니다. 각각의 카드에는 발동 효과가 적혀있어서 카드에 따라 세계지도에서 각 국의 영향력을 행사하게 됩니다. 각 카드의 이름에 맞게 어울리는 효과가 발동되게 되어있어 세계사 역덕이라면 더 재미있게 플레이 할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 쿠데타라는 요소가 있어 상대가 영향력을 행사중인 국가라도 국가 안정도가 낮다면 쉽게 전세가 역전되기도 하구요. 상대국보다 우주기술을 먼저 개발하여 앞서나가는 전략을 쓸 수도 있습니다.  아직 한글화 정식 발매가 되지 않아서, 게임을 제대로 하려면 이런 식의 번역작업이 필요합니다. 워낙 읽어야 하는 텍스트의 양이 많아서 영어가 자연스럽게 읽히는 분이 아니라면 그냥 게임하기는 어려울 것 같네요. 테라 미스티카소개 : http://it.donga.com/20880/ Board Game Geek 순위 : 2 (전략게임 2위) 2위 게임입니다. 국내에선 많이 알려지지 않아서 아직 많이들 즐기지 않는 편이라고 하는데요. 꽤 재미가 있습니다. 2~5인용 게임이구요.  카탄처럼 육각형 셀로 이뤄진 맵을 펼쳐놓고 땅을 먹고 확장해가는 게임인데요. 종족이 무려 20가지가 있고, 각 종족마다 서로 다른 승리 전략이 있습니다.  빠르게 건물을 업그레이드 하는 빠른 테크 빌드오더도 있지만, 싼 건물을 초반에 많이 지으면서 확장해가는 방법도 있구요. 사원 점수를 올리는 방법, 배를 개발해서 멀리 건너 뛰며 확장하는 방법 등 여러가지 요소가 있어 다양한 전략을 추구하는 재미가 있습니다. 종족을 바꿔 플레이 하면 매번 새로운 느낌이 들기 때문에 질리지 않고 오래 할 수 있는 게임입니다. 오를레앙소개 : http://boardm.co.kr/shop/goods/goods_view.php?goodsno=4168 소개 : http://www.divedice.com/shop/gboard/bbs/board.php?bo_table=rev&wr_id=6343 Board Game Geek 순위 : 143 (전략게임 71위) 2~4인용 전략 게임입니다. 이 게임은 전략게임이고 구성품이 많음에도 꽤 룰이 간단하여 쉽게 숙지할 수 있는 편입니다. 주머니를 사용하여 일꾼 덱을 만드는 식의 게임인데요. Deck이 아닌 Bag을 사용한다고 해서 '백 빌딩' 게임이라고 한다네요.  매 턴마다 백에서 일꾼을 랜덤하게 뽑아서, 나온 일꾼을 사용해서 자신의 영역을 확장해가는 게임입니다. 일꾼들의 직업이 다양하게 있는데, 영역확장에 필요한 분야마다 필요한 일꾼의 직업이 다릅니다. 때문에 매 턴 마다 어떤 직업의 일꾼을 새로 얻을 것인지를 잘 선택해야 하고, 뽑아서 나온 일꾼에 따라 상황에 맞게 전략을 잘 짜서 테크트리를 정해야 하는 재미가 있습니다. 2인용 게임이 생각보다 재밌는게 잘 없더군요. 재밌다는 작품들은 대부분 너무 복잡하거나, 너무 단순하거나... ㅠㅠ
