굶지마가 이제 좀 쉬워지셨나요? 다음 세계로 넘어가기엔 여기 설치해놓은 구조물들이 아깝지 않으십니까? 하지만 지상에서의 생존은 이제 지겨우십니까? 뭔가 새로운 세계를 가 보고 싶지 않으십니까? 20달러 내고(물론 연쇄할인마 덕분에 10달러에 산 제가 할 말은 아닙니다만...) 지상 1층만을 즐기기엔 억울하지 않으십니까? 그런 분들을 위해 동굴 탐사가 존재합니다. 광부 모자를 쓰고, 깊은 어둠 속 동굴로 들어가 봅시다. 이미지샷  1. 동굴 진입법 일단 동굴을 어디로 들어가는지 알아야 탐사를 하건 말건 하지 않겠습니까?  게임을 하다 보면 가끔 요런 놈이 보입니다. 금맥도 아니고, 바위만 나오는 돌도 아니고, Nitre를 캘 수 있는 돌도 아니고. 대체 뭔가 해서 캐 보면 바위 몇 개와 부싯돌 몇 개와  이렇게 동굴 입구가 나옵니다. 제 경험상으로 동굴 입구는 ① 모자이크 지형 ② 돼지 왕이 있는 버치넛 숲 지대의 돼지 마을 이 두 군데에는 확정적으로 있으며, 그 외 다른 장소에도 한 개 정도 나타날 수 있습니다. 2. 동굴의 특징 ① 추위와 더위의 영향을 덜 받습니다. ② 빛이 새어들어오는 일부 지역을 제외하고는 다 암흑에 휩싸여 있습니다. ③ 시간을 알 수 없습니다. 하지만 시간이 흐르기는 흐릅니다. 바깥으로 나가면 시간이 흐르는 것을 확인할 수 있습니다. ④ 지상과는 달리, preset으로 안의 괴물/자원 수치를 조정할 수 없습니다. ⑤ 가끔 동굴 밖으로 나가자마자 사냥개나 거인들이 습격해온다는 경고를 캐릭터가 하기도 합니다. 주의하세요. ⑥ 지진이 나서 가끔 암석들이 하늘에서 막 떨어집니다. 토끼나 두더지 같은 것도 가끔 떨어지며, 맞으면 피해를 입습니다. 땅에 한번 튕긴 다음에 완전히 땅바닥에 안착하기 전까진 다가가면 피해를 입으므로 주의하셔야 합니다. ⑦ 우디는 동굴 밖에서 보름달이 떠도 동굴 안에서 웨어비버로 변신해버립니다. 날짜 잘 맞춥시다. 3. 동굴의 지형 일람 ① 땅속 숲지대  ② 석순 지대 작은 석순 지대  동굴 거미들(원거리 공격하는 거미와 피부가 두꺼운 거미)이 살고 잇습니다. 큰 석순 지대  고대 폐허로 가는 입구는 보통 이런 곳에 있습니다. ③ 암석 지대  ④ 늪지대 빛나는 구근 늪지대  보통 촉수 괴물, 커다란 촉수(공격하면 작은 촉수를 소환합니다.)가 살고 있습니다. 빛나는 구근을 엄청 많이 캘 수 있습니다. 갈대 늪지대  촉수 괴물과 일반 거미가 밀집해있는 늪지대입니다. 보시다시피 지상에 비해 갈대의 밀집율이 압도적으로 높습니다! ⑤ 버섯숲 지대. 모자이크 버섯숲  붉은 버섯숲  녹색 버섯숲  파란 버섯숲  버섯나무가 가득한 곳입니다. 모자이크 버섯숲은 버섯나무(와 녹색버섯)만 존재하며 붉은 버섯숲/녹색 버섯숲은 각각 그 색깔의 버섯나무와 버섯, 그리고 빛나는 구근이 있습니다. 파란 버섯숲은 파란 버섯나무, 파란 버섯, 빛나는 구근 외에도 토끼인간 거주지가 있습니다. 4. 생존 가이드 ① 더위와 추위는 어느 정도 막아주지만, 비는 막아주지 않습니다. 봄에 올 때 우비 챙기고, 여름과 겨울에도 추위/더위 방지 물품 챙깁시다. ② 사냥개가 오지 않는 대신, 주기적으로 동굴 지렁이가 옵니다. 동굴 지렁이는 체력이 900에 공격력이 75이므로 주의하시기 바랍니다. 단, 동굴 지렁이는 최대 3마리까지만 옵니다.(... 그래도 빡셉니다.) ③ 빛이 들어오는 자리에서는 양봉을 할 수 있습니다. 이것으로 즉시즉시 사탕을 만들어 정신력을 회복할 수 있습니다.(아마 농업도 가능할 겁니다.) ④ 랜턴을 제작하시면 지하에서도 헬멧을 착용할 수 있습니다. 랜턴은 바닥에 두고 불을 껐다가 켰다가 할 수 있으며 들고 다니실 수도(이 때는 끌 수 없습니다.)있습니다. 단, 광역 공격에 파괴될 수 있습니다. ⑤ 광부 모자를 사용하신다면 대리석 갑옷도 나쁘지는 않은 선택이 됩니다. 특히 힛앤런이 불가능한, 촉수 같은 괴물들 상대로는 굉장히 유용합니다. ⑥ 바위 가재들과 친구를 먹는 것도 좋습니다. 동굴 지렁이를 사냥하는 데엔 유용합니다. 어차피 가재 죽여도 템 좋은 거 떨구지도 않고... ⑦ 곡괭이는 언제나 들고 다니셔야 합니다. 거미집을 부술 때(거미집은 암석으로 되어 있어서 곡괭이로만 부술 수 있습니다.), 고대 폐허로 갈 때 필수품입니다. ⑧ 언제나 분당 5만큼 정신력 감소(웬디는 25%만큼 줄여서 받습니다.)되므로, 정신력 회복에 좋은 사탕이나 육포는 꼭 챙겨가시기 바랍니다. ⑨ 암석을 가지고 다닌다면 슬러틀과 스너틀(둘 다 달팽이 비슷하게 생겼습니다.)에게, 고기를 가지고 다닌다면 토끼 인간에게 공격받습니다. 물론 웨버는 그냥 토끼 인간에게 공격받습니다. 대신 동굴 거미들은 웨버와 적대적이지 않습니다. 고대 폐허 가이드로 이어집니다...
