(프로젝트 매니지먼트 컨설턴트) 주로 중동의 오일메이저같은 회사들이 공장을 짓는데 전부 자기들 인원으로 다 쓰기 그러니까 나름 여러 전문가를 거느린 회사를 고용해서 기존 자사 인원과 짬뽕조직을 꾸리는거죠. 우리나라 말로 하면 마름 혹은 감리라고 하면 될듯. (마름은 농담입니다. 지주와 마름의 그 마름) 유머의 포인트는 기사말미에 해외에서 인정받는 국내 엔지니어들의 특유의 적응력이 PMO 사업수주에도 상당히 유리하게 작용할 것이라는 의견도 있다. C사 엔지니어는 [“해외 엔지니어사의 경우에는 계약에 명시된 내용만을 이행하는 반면 국내 엔지니어들은 발주처의 입장을 고려한, 계약내용에 없는 디테일한 부분까지 신경쓰는 경향이 짙다”]며 “이러한 점이 해외 발주처에서 한국에 대한 호감도를 상승시키는데 PMO 실적만 쌓게되면 이런 점이 점수표에 없는 플러스요인이 될 가능성도 있다”고 말했다. 이 부분입니다. 제가 생각할 때 우리나라가 PMC 분야로 나가는데 가장 문제가 되는게 자꾸 외국애들에게 '뭔가 해주려는 태도' 때문이라고 생각합니다. 프로젝트 용어로는 gold plating (금판질)이라고 하는데 쇠판으로 하면 되는데 그냥 해주고 싶어서 금판으로 해주는걸 말하죠. 그러다보니 나한테 그렇게 안해주는 내 하청 직원들을 보면 몹시 서운합니다. 나는 발주처 금판질 해주는데, 외국나오면 협력업체는 탬버린도 안흔들거든요. 그냥 뭐 그렇습니다. 유머에요. 안 웃으셨을테니 오늘은 들어가서 라면이라 끼리먹고 잘랍니다.
