저번주와 이번주에 KBS 시사기획 창에서 밀정 2부작을 방송하였습니다. 여기서 시사기획 창은 그냥 밀정혐의도 아니고 "밀정 혐의가 드러난 895명의 이름을 확인했다."고 하면서 제작진들이 만든명단을 공개합니다. ("시사기획 창 밀정 1부 - 배신의 기록 : 임시정부수립 100주년 특집 / KBS뉴스(News)" 51분 경) 그리고 이 방송에서 밀정으로 방송하는 인물이 바로 안중근 의사의 동지 우덕순입니다. ("시사기획 창 밀정 1부 - 배신의 기록 : 임시정부수립 100주년 특집 / KBS뉴스(News)" 18분경) 시사기획 창은 우덕순을 밀정이라 방송하면서 증거를 제시하는데 그 증거는 1920년대 일제 내부 문서입니다. ("시사기획 창 밀정 1부 - 배신의 기록 : 임시정부수립 100주년 특집 / KBS뉴스(News)" 약 20분 부터 참고) 1925년 문서를 비롯해 1920년대 문서를 방송에 공개했고 그걸 근거로 우덕순을 밀정으로 확정한 방송을 하였습니다. 그런데... 조선총독부 경무국은 1934년에 어떤 조선인명부를 만들었습니다. 『외국의 용의 조선인명부』인데 그런 내부 문서에 분명히 이런 내용이 있습니다다. “농후한 배일사상을 갖고 있다” - 우덕순에 대해 조선총독부 경무국이 1934년에 『외국의 용의 조선인명부』에 기록한 내용 (신운용, 「우덕순의 민족운동과 해방공간 활동」, 한국민족운동사연구 81, 2014, 159쪽에 재인용) 위의 KBS 방송에선 20년대 문서를 근거로 우덕순을 밀정으로 추정하였는데 정작 조선총독부 경무국의 1934년 문헌에선 "농후한 배일사상을 갖고"있는 인물이라 하며 외국의 용의 조선인명부에 적고 있습니다. 그리고 해당 변절 의혹은 이미 전에 제기된 내용입니다. 우덕순이 일본총영사관에서 1925년 4월 30일 6,175엔을 받았다는 기록은 이미 한참 전에 발굴됐고 신운용 박사가 이미 2010년에 친일가능성을 제기하였습니다. 그러나 신운용 박사는 일제문헌을 연구하는 도중 그런 의견을 철회하였습니다. (신운용, 「우덕순의 민족운동과 해방공간 활동」, 한국민족운동사연구 81, 2014, 159쪽) 그리고 당시 언론내용을 보면 우덕순은 일제가 패망하기 전까지 치치하얼 감옥에 갇혀있다고 나오고 있습니다. 또한 만주에서 귀국한 한인들로 구성된 동삼성한인협력회의 회장을 맡았고 이에 대해 당시 독립운동가들에게 규탄당한 문헌을 확인할 수 없습니다. (신운용, 같은 논문) 이런 사실에 근거해서 신운용 박사는 "이는 그가 친일로 경도되었다고 볼수 없는 증거"라고 논문에서 결론을 내렸습니다.(신운용, 같은 논문) 물론 위의 언론보도가 거짓이란 가설은 가능하지만 증거는 없습니다. 그러니 이에 대해 일제문서를 확인할 필요가 없는데 정작 KBS 방송에서 이에 대한 자료를 보여주지 않고 있습니다. 일제내부는 우덕순을 1934년에 농후한 배일사상을 갖고 있다고 기록하며 주의해야할 명단에 기록하고 있습니다. 그러니 좀 더 이후에 대한 자료를 봐야 밀정인지 아닌지 확인이 가능할텐데 이에 대해 관련 방송이나 논문을 확인할 수 없습니다. 우덕순이 밀정일 수 있다. 하지만 밀정이 아닐 수도 있다. 정확한 증명은 밀정을 주장하는 측에서 해야할 필요가 있습니다. KBS 방송에서 이해가 안 가는 점은 증거로 제시한 일제 내부 문서가 다 1925년을 비롯한 1920년대입니다. 그런데 어째서 1934년의 일제 문서는 소개하지 않았는지 의문이고, 그 이후 행적에 대해서는 왜 추적하지 않은건지 의문입니다. 일단 우덕순을 국립현충원에서 빼버려야할 증거는 부족합니다. 참고_ 아시는 분은 아시겠지만 신운용 박사는 한국외국어대학교 대학원에서 "안중근의 민족운동 연구"로 박사학위를 받았고 안중근의사기념사업회 안중근연구소 책임연구원 으로 안중근 의사 관련 대표적인 전문가이시죠. (https://book.naver.com/bookdb/book_detail.nhn?bid=6185577) 밀정 2부에서 배경한 박사가 김규흥에 대해 이야기하면서 이런 말을 했지요.(중국 근대사, 중국국민당, 장제스 전문가) 그런 부분들은 연구를 기다려야지, 조급하게 이쪽이냐 저쪽이냐 판단하는 것은 무리가 있고...(이후 KBS가 박사의 발언을 편집) - 배경한 박사가 "시사기획 창 밀정 2부 - 임시정부를 파괴하라 : 임시정부수립 100주년 특집 KBS뉴스(News)" 20분에서 김규흥에 대해 한 답변. 구글에 기간을 한달로 해서 우덕순으로 검색해봤는데 내용이 매우 충격적이더군요. 정말 심각한 욕설과 인신공격이 확인됐습니다. 사람들이 전문적인 연구서는 보지 않고 함부로 판단해서 욕설을 하더군요. 추신_ 이 글은 제가 어저께 썼던 글인데 원래는 존댓말로 끝나지 않는터라 뒤에다 존댓말을 급조해서 넣었습니다. 그래서 말투가 어색할 수 있습니다.
