모처럼 국경일인 연휴 아침 8시 10분에 띵동!! 누군가가 똑똑똑 그랬어요. 저는 소파에서 아침잠을 깨우기위해서 뒹굴거리고 있었는데요. 음... 택배 아니면 **와의 증인이다.. 라는 생각 글쎄 저희집 자칭 수험생 "A"의 또 다른 작품이었어요. 어제 자기전에 친구B랑 굳게 약속을 하고 아침 8시에 장거리 자전거타기로 약속해놓고 저한테 깨워달라고 이야기도 안하고 혼자 실컷 잘자고 있었는거에요. 기다리다가 안나타나니깐 참다못해서 친구가 저희집에 와서A 뭐하냐고, 약속했는데 안나타났어요!! 라는 거에요. 깨워주세요!! 저희애는 11학년이 참 좋은가봅니다. 여름방학동안 자전거 신나게 타더니 방학말미에는 넘어져서 축구도 몇 주 연습도 못갔는데요. 학교 시작하면서 자전거 동호회 창단멤버로 본인도 합류하기로 했다고.. 주말 아침 자전거 2-3시간 타기!! 는 충분히 할 수 있어요! 라고 이야기 하더라구요. 이 아이는 신기해요. 축구도 자전거도 넘치게 하지도 않고 할 때마다 참 재밌어하고 자전거는 지구 오염을 가장 적게시키는 친환경적이라면서 신나게 자전거타고 온동네를 다 타고 다니는데요. 축구도 할 때마다 시원하다고.. 경기할때 최선을 다해서 뛰더라구요. 대신에 연습을 안해요..그러니 발전이 없구요. ㅠㅠ 방학때 시간이 많으니깐 차로 20분거리의 축구연습하는 곳에 자전거타고 간다고 우겨서 결국에 너 자전거 타고 가봐라 했더니 한 번 그렇게 자전거 타고 가더니 그다음부터는 자전거 타고 간다고 이야기하지는 않더군요. 오늘 아침, B 친구랑 나서면서 저더러 "엄마 전화기 충전안했어요. 어떻하지... 음..친구거 빌려서 통화할께요! 우리 세 시간 정도 나가서 타야하는데..." 전화기 충전도 안한 A 녀석...으이그 .. "빌려줄 수 없다! 너 혼자 조심해서 타야지 어쩌겠니, 그러게 평소에 준비를 잘해야 한다고 했쟎니? " "네!! 연락할때는 친구 전화기 빌려서 할께요!" 조심해서 타거라 하고 보냈는데 방금 함께 자전거탄 친구가 집에 있는 아이 전화로 전화를 걸어와서 이상해서 받아보았더니, "A, 전화아닌가요? 라고.. 어..." 아휴.."A 가 집에 전화기 두고 갔는데, 누구야..너랑 같이 타는것 아니니? B친구:"A 랑 멀리 떨어지게 되어서 지금 못찾아서 전화했어요." "A 찾아서 조심하게 같이 타라." A가 열심히 살고 저보다 훨씬 생활면에서 잘보내고 있지만, 가끔 청소년기의 호르몬 충동조절은 여전히 잘 안되어서, 동생들이 형!!! 오빠 조심해!!! 제발!!!! 좀 신경 좀 써요!! 라고 하는데요. A!! 참..흥미진진하게 고등학교 생활을 보내는군요. 이미 클럽 여러개에서 활발하게 활동을 하는 A는 클럽데이때에 전문으로 자전거 타는 위의 이야기에 나온 친구B가 새로 창당한 주말 자전거 타기 동호회 클럽에 "vice president"로 명함이사? 타이틀을 친구가 정해주어서 본인도 등록했데요. (남들은 11학년이면 클럽활동을 줄이고 공부에 매진할때라구 하네요. 활동하는 것들을 줄이고 선택과 집중을 해야할때인데, 아이 따라다니며 이야기해도 아이는 본인이 다 관리할 수 있다는군요. 그래 너 책임이다...라는 말만 해 줄 수 밖에 없어요.) "엄마 그냥 주말에 자전거만 같이 타면되어요. 얼마나 재밌어요. 우리 클럽은 아침에 일어나서 자전거타고 오는거에요. 그리고 제가 참여하는 코딩클럽이랑 시큐리티 클럽 규칙을 친구 B 한테 다 가르쳐줘서 친구가 자전거 클럽 세우는데 도움을 줄수가 있어요. 나는 작년에 이미 다 배웠으니깐요." 아무 부담없이 클럽활동 또 하나 더..(어떤 활동을 할 때 책임감 있게 행동해야하는데 저렇게 부담없이 하다니...!! ) 친구 B는 프로페셔널 바이커라서 혼자 심심하게 자전거를 타던 참이었는데 아주 잘되었지요. 함께 자전거타줄 친구가 생겼으니깐요. 저희애더러 속도 하나는 인정한다고!! ㅠㅠ 문제지요. 저희애는 미친듯이 자전거를 타면서 본인이 받는 스트레스를 다 날리는가봅니다. 제발 천천히 타고 사고 안나게 타거라! 를 저는 애원하는 처지가 되어 버렸는데요. 얼마전에 자전거 잃어버린 일화가 있었는데요. 그 다음날 중고 다른 자전거를 아빠가 나가서 또 사왔더라구요. 아니... 속도 안나는 낡은 제 자전거 타게끔해야하는데, 아이더러 조심성과 책임감을 키워야하는데 말이에요.아빠는 아이 자전거를 업그레이드해주다니 이렇게 부모가 손발이 안맞습니다. 남들은 클럽활동을 줄이는 때라는데, 이 아이는 클럽활동을 더 늘리고 공부하고 자전거타고 아빠한테 축구 소홀하게 한다고 하루걸러 야단맞고 정작 학교 축구는 바시티팀에도 못들어갈 것 같은데 ... 크로스 컨츄리는 좋아하니깐 뛰고... 더 황당한 일도 있었어요. 크로스 컨츄리팀 연습에 ...이맘때에 학교 주위의 몇 마일을 아이들이 지역예선 대회 연습삼아서 달리기를 하는데요. 그 달리기 하는 아이들 옆에서 선생님한테 허락맡고서 자전거를 타고 달렸답니다. 그 사실을 싹 감추고 있었는데, 동생이 올해 9학년이 되어서 집에 와서 저희한테 일러바쳤어요. 형 오늘 달리기하는데, 혼자 자전거타고 코스 돌았다고요. 그 선생님이 얼마나 황당해하셨겠어요. 저 녀석 참으로 애물단지구나 하셨을 것이 뻔하지요. 아이는 집에 와서 야단맞고 앞으로 다시는 안그러겠다고... 어차피 연습이기때문에 자전거로 하나 달리기나 큰 차이는 없어요!! 라고 이야기하다가 코어 근육이 다른데 어쩌고 저쩌고... 부모님한테 왕 야단맞구요. 쓸 이야기도 많지만... 이렇게 호기심과 행동력이 앞서는 아이 붙잡아서 천천히 가라 생각하고 행동해라 라고 하는 일로 바쁜 한 해가 되는 것 같아요. 쓰고 나니 아이 흉 실컷 보았는데요. 실패도 하고 경험도 하고 다른 애들처럼 진중하게 생각해서 제 몸도 사리고 그렇게 해야 하는데... 부딪히고 경험해서 실수하고 실패하고 그러다가 아..그러면 안되구나를 배우는 모습이 바로 눈에 훤하게 보이는 아이에요. 저랑 비슷한데 대신에 저보다 성실하니깐 ... 노력하다보면 자기 길은 자기가 알아서 만들어가겠구나 싶습니다. -수정했습니다- Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 133 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 146 Warning: Use of undefined constant vote - assumed 'vote' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 161 4 이 게시판에 등록된 풀잎님의 최근 게시물 |

저희 아버지께서 예전에 병원 간호부로 계실 때 응급실에서 오래 일하셨던 적이 있으셔서 그런지 자전거를 사주지 않으셨어요. 한 동네 살던 안면이 있던 여자아이가 (저에게는 누나 뻘) 대낮에 자전거 사고로 실려와서는 잘못된걸 눈 앞에서 보신 충격 탓이었을거에여.
덕분에 저는 친구들 자전거를 빌려 타면서 아버지를 원망하곤 했었죠. 나 이렇게 자전거 잘 타는데 왜 안사줌? 하고요. 그 만용이 오래 가지 못했는데, 대학교때 자전거 타다가 크게 한 번 다친 이후로는 결국 아버지 바람 대로 자전거를 못타게 되었어요.

글 이야기를 하자면... 경험에서 배우는 타입이 저는 오히려 좋다고 생각해요. 머리로 판단하고 경계를 긋는 타입은 안전하게 갈 수는 있어도 선을 넘어 뭔가를 창조하는 능력은 좀 부족해지는거 같아요. 제가 좀 그런 타입인데 돌이켜보면.. 아 그때 너무 머리로 재지 말고 한 번 몸으로 부딫쳐볼걸 그랬나, 하고 후회가 남는 때가 종종 있어요. 그러니 자녀분께서는 아마 남들이 안된다고 손사래 치는걸 되게 만드는 사람이 될거 같아요. 거기에 성실하기까지 하다면 더 걱정 안 하셔도 될듯요!
