디비니티 : 오리지널 씬2(이하 dos2) 한패 제작 소식이 들린지 1년 쯤 된 것 같군요. 안타깝게도 한패는 빨라 봤자 내년에나 나올 것 같습니다. 현재 공개된 한글패치(76%번역본)로도 메인 스토리 진행에는 크게 문제될 부분이 없습니다. 오리진 캐릭터 비스트, 셰빌, 페인은 번역이 좀 미흡하고, 플레이타임에서 가장 많은 부분을 차지하는 사신의 해안부터 파파고 번역이 가끔씩 나오긴 하지만 영어 원문과 파파고 번역이 병행 표기 되어 있거든요. 영어원문을 봐도 되고, 그게 아니더라도 파파고 번역을 봐도 대략적인 분위기를 이해 하시는데는 큰 무리가 없을 겁니다.(물론 파파고 번역 자체가 이상한 부분도 있습니다) ...라지만 8월 31일에 Definitive Edition이었나 뭐가 나온다고 합니다. npc들의 대사, 사신의 해안, 이름 없는 섬, 악스의 퀘스트 디자인 등이 크게 바뀌고, 이것저것 바뀌는 부분이 많다고 하니 기존 패치로는 한계가 있겠죠. 그대로 적용이 될 리도 없을테고요. ㅡ기존 버전 구매자는 DE를 무료로 제공 된다고 하니, 기보유자들은 구매를 걱정하실 필요가 없습니다. 라리안 우수회원 같은 소리는 이쯤에서 그만하고, 2회차 클리어 기념으로 리뷰를 작성해보겠습니다. 1. 그래픽의 발전 전작에 비해서 명확하게 발전했습니다. 1탄도 보기에 거슬리진 않았는데, 2탄은 정말 많은 발전을 했습니다. 캐릭터들의 모델링, 마법사용시 그래픽, 지형 지물 등 흠잡을 부분이 없습니다. 여담으로 게임 옵션에서 갓레이였나 뭐...광원관련 옵션은 끄나 켜나 아무 것도 안달라지는 것 같습니다. 2. 전작보다 개선된 스토리 DOS1에 등장하는 자한, 마도라, 베어도트 등의 컴패니언 퀘스트는 빈약하기 짝이 없었습니다. 캐릭터들의 배경은 합류 전에 잠깐 언급하는게 끝이었죠. 파티구성을 2명으로 하면 심심할 것 같고 , 삼총사도 아니고 3명은 이상하고, 4명을 데리고 다닐건데 대충 아무나 취향 껏 픽해서 파티 구성! 자! 떠나볼까! 그렇게 진행 하다 보면 하늘에서 퀘스트가 떨어지고 몹을 죽이면 끝인 싱겁기 짝이 없는 동료들이었습니다. 라리안도 그런 부분을 의식했는지 DOS2에서는 장족의 발전을 이뤄냈습니다. 홀로 남은 고대종족 페인, 복수에 미쳐버린 엘프 셰빌, 선장님(?) 비스트, 제국 최고의 명문가 출신이었지만 악마와 놀아난 죄로 폐위된 붉은 왕자. 무슨 동료를 선택하든 시작부터 풍부한 배경설명과 대사, 이벤트 및 동료 퀘스트로 전작보다 뛰어난 몰입감을 제공합니다.  불편한 물음표  디비니티의 허세담당 붉은 왕자, 비스트를 제외하고 모든 동료들의 스토리가 재밌었습니다 뻔한 스토리라도 연출을 어떻게 하고, 몰입을 어떻게 하느냐에 따라서 뻔하지 않을 수 있다고 봐서 저는 1편의 촌스러운 스토리도 좋게 봤지만..호평보다는 혹평이 많았습니다. DOS2는 메인 스토리도 전작보다 욕을 덜 먹었습니다. 스토리의 신선함이 떨어진다고 평가하시는 분들도 있지만 저는 1,2편 모두 재밌었기 때문에 때문에 까고 싶진 않습니다. 2-1. 퀘스트 디자인 전작에선 일지를 봐도 이게 퀘스트인지...그냥 일기장인지 헷갈릴 정도로 방향을 잡기 어려운 부분이 있었는데, DOS2에 와서는 일지만 봐도 진행이 수월해질 정도로 개선되었습니다. 라리안 특유의 정신 나간 퀘스트는 여전히 있어서 호불호가 갈릴 수 있지만, 개인적으론 그 정신 나간 점이 맘에 듭니다. 말하는 쥐새끼 모험가나 세계 멸망을 꿈꾸는 마왕(꽃게)을 쫓아다니는 꽃게용사, 마법범죄에 당해서 젖소로 변한 인간들, 흑화 되서 어미를 죽이는 악마 병아리 등등.. 퀘스트의 선택지에 따라 눈 앞의 결과도 달라지지만, 나비효과로 게임의 결말조차 달라지게 디자인 한 것도 칭찬받을 부분입니다. 3. 다양한 캐릭터 육성법 추가된 전투능력(소환술과 변신술의 추가)과 조합마법, 변경된 특성과 AP시스템으로 인해서 육성법이 더욱 다양해졌습니다. 특히 조합마법의 추가로 인해서 어떤 식으로 파티를 짜고, 어떤 전투능력을 찍느냐에 따라서 써야 하는 스킬이 상당히 많이 바뀌게 됩니다. 물론 게임 초반에는 돈도 없고, 뭘 찍어야 하는지 잘 알 수가 없을 수도 있습니다만..클래식 난이도 기준으로는 아주 동떨어진 스킬들을 조합하는 식이 아니라면 어떤 식으로든 파티가 굴러갈겁니다. 예를들어 전투마법냥꾼을 키울거라고 원거리에서는 활이나 석궁, 마법을 쏘고 유사시에는 이동기로 적진 한복판에 뛰어들어 간달프처럼 싸우면서 신의 권능으로 적들의 눈을 멀게 만들고, 체인 라이트닝으로 마무리를 해야 겠다 같은 정신나간 중이뼝 육성법만 아니면 됩니다. 방패와 완드를 들고 적들 한복판에 뛰어 들어서 마법을 난사하는 정도는 가능하지만요.. 간달프는 안됩니다. 다양한 육성이 가능하다고 했지만, 효율성을 따지기 시작하면 필수적인 스킬은 정해져 있습니다. 대지술의 요새화, 염화술의 마음의 평화, 불한당의 아드레날린, 물의 현자의 얼음 갑옷과 재생, 대기술의 텔레포트와 황천의 이동술 그리고 기묘한 회피, 변신술의 카멜레온 망토, 각 학파의 이동기술 등은 있고 없고 차이가 극심합니다. 사실 없어도 진행은 되지만 고통 받을 확률이 올라갑니다. 4. 전투 1탄도 타RPG에 비해 전투가 최대의 장점이었다고 보는데, 2탄에서는 더욱 전투가 재미있어졌습니다. 4인팟 기준으로 캐릭터들의 AP(행동시 소모되는 능력치)는 4만 제공되어서, 스킬을 추가적으로 쓰지 않는 이상 일반공격은 단 두번, 스킬은 4번 이상 사용할 수 없게 바뀌었습니다. 한번 명령을 잘못 내렸다가, 연쇄작용으로 파티가 전멸할 수 있기 때문에 1번의 명령도 신경써야 합니다. 겨우 두세번의 행동으로 뭘 하라는 거냐? 라고 생각하시는 분들이 계실까봐 부연설명을 하자면.. DOS2에서 1턴은 우선권이 가장 높은 캐릭터가 선턴을 그 다음 차례는 상대파티에서 우선권이 가장 높은 캐릭터가, 그 다음은 상대방의 우선권 2순위 캐릭터가...서로 번갈아가면서 차례를 잡습니다. 이런 시스템으로 인해 각종 메즈=CC의 중요도가 올라갑니다. 다음 차례의 적군을 행동 불능 상태로 만든다면, 아군이 두번, 세번 연속으로 공격 할 수 있기 때문이죠. 반대로도 적용이 되기 때문에 연속 쿵쿵따로 손도 못대고 파티원의 영혼이 사출되기도 합니다. 매 전투마다 어떻게 행동불능을 만들지를 고민하고 신중하게 명령을 내려야 하기 때문에, 전투가 지루해질 틈이 없습니다. 물론 16레벨을 기점으로 너무 강력해지기 때문에, 한턴에 전부 다 죽이고 끝낼 수도 있습니다(...). 허나, 악스로 넘어가면 적들도 같이 강해져서 죽창싸움이 됩니다. AP제한 때문에 메즈 뿐만 아니라 이동 및 진형잡기도 많은 변화가 왔습니다. 전작에서는 대충 자리잡고 마법으로 녹이거나 양손 전사가 이동하면서 썰어버리거나, 궁수가 말뚝딜로 다 잡아버리는 경우가 많았는데(2탄도 마찬가지), DOS2에서는 적들이 이동기를 수시로 쓰기 때문에, 진형붕괴에 주의해야 합니다. -그래서 텔레포트, 거미줄, 황천의 이동술 등이 상당부분 강제되기도 하고 전투 시스템에서 전작과 크게 달라진 점은 속도 능력치의 삭제 그로 인한 AP 제한 뿐만 아니라, 물리 방어력과 마법 방어력이 생겼다는 점입니다. 1탄에서는 궁수로 닥치고 매혹화살, 기절화살, 넘어트림 화살을 쏘거나 법사로 비+전기, 비+얼음 쓰면 적들이 다 바보가 되버렸죠. DOS2에서는 물방과 마방을 0으로 만들기 전까지는 물리/마법 메즈가 안먹힙니다. 그래서 파티구성에서부터 물리캐, 마법캐의 숫자를 신경써야 하고, 스킬 구성 및 사용도 신중하게 해야 합니다. 여러모로 전작 보다 발전한 부분입니다. *물/마방과 무관하게 변신술의 거미줄, 얼음바닥은 상태이상을 유발합니다. 5. 사라지지 않는 버그 전작에서도 버그가 많았지만 이번작도 버그가 많습니다. 사소한 버그부터 게임이 튕기는 버그, 진행이 안되는 버그 등...아주 다양한 버그를 자랑합니다. -인벤토리가 먹통이 되는 버그 가장 빈번하게 발생하고 귀찮은 버그입니다. c키, i키, esc키를 막 눌러보거나 캐릭터를 번갈아가면서 선택하면서 인벤을 열어보고 그래도 안되면, 로드를 하면 해결할 수 있습니다(...). 전술가 이하의 난이도에서는 문제가 안되지만, 명예난이도에서는 상당히 짜증날 수가 있습니다. -포탈 버그 포탈에서 튀어나왔더니 갑자기 npc들이 적대적으로 돌변하는 버그입니다. 사신의 해안이나 악스에서 가끔 발생합니다. 답은 로드뿐(...) -게임이 튕기는 버그 잦은 세이브 로드를 한 상태에서 플레이 타임이 길어졌을 때, 게임이 갑자기 튕길 때가 있습니다. 특정 npc에게 대화를 걸었을 때 게임이 튕기는 버그도 있습니다. 기쁨의 요새에서 딸이 죽어서 정신이 나간 여자나 사신의 해안, 드리프트우드 상인들한테 대화를 걸면 가끔 튕기더군요. 6. 아쉬운 맵디자인 전작과 비교해서 아쉬운 부분으로 맵 디자인을 들 수 있습니다. DOS1에서는 필드마다 유기적으로 연결이 되어 있었고, 동일 필드에서도 입체적인 구성을 통해서 경치를 감상할 여지가 많았는데, 2탄에서는 그런 부분이 눈에 띄게 줄었습니다. 특색있는 지역 또한 손에 꼽을 정도입니다. 전반적으로 볼륨은 늘었지만 입체적인 필드 디자인이 부족합니다.(고저차는 게임의 시작부터 끝까지 유지가 됩니다만) 횡으로는 넓어졌으나 종적인 연결이 약해졌습니다. 전작과 비교했을때 DOS1의 정령왕들이 있는 지역은 지상, 지하의 유기적인 연결이 있었으나 DOS2에서는 그런 부분이 부족합니다. 정확히는 기쁨의 요새에서 지하 감옥을 탈출할 때까지만 해도 잘만들었다는 느낌이 나는데, 사신의 해안부터는 제작자들이 지친건지 맵이 그냥 무작정 넓어집니다. 맵이 너무 넓어서 어딜 가야 할 지부터 감이 안잡히고 피로감을 느끼는 사람들이 많습니다. 종적인 연결이 약하고 횡으로만 뻗어 나가다보니 피곤한 것 같기도 합니다. 그래도 이름없는 섬에서의 사원 탐험, 악스의 하수도 탐험, 박살난 항구를 고지대에서 봤을때의 풍경은 인상적이었습니다.  7. 지역별 분량 6과 이어지는 단점인데, 각 맵별 플레이타임 배분에 실패했습니다. 1회차 플레이 타임을 60~120 시간 정도로 잡았을때, 사신의 해안이 차지하는 부분이 30~50%정도 될겁니다. 이름 없는 섬은 짧고, 악스는 이름 없는 섬보다는 길지만, 사신의 해안의 절반도 안됩니다. 8. 모르나요? 모르나요? 모르면 맞아야죠! 게임 내에서 모르면 억울하게 당해야 하는 부분이 몇군데 있습니다. 평소에 턴제 게임을 자주 하신 분들이라면 초회차에 클래식 난이도가 적당하고, 나는 고통의 수행사제~ 인 분들은 전술가 난이도까지도 괜찮습니다. 그런데 명예 난이도는 안됩니다. 모르면 일단 맞고, 닌물샘이 찢긴 채로 울면서 게임오버 당해야 하는 부분이 많아요. 9. 총평 전작보다 많은 부분에서 개선된 작품입니다. 물론 짜증나는 버그들은 여전하지만, 게임 진행에 치명적인 수준은 아니라서 참을만 합니다. 그리고 전작의 밑도 끝도 없던 퍼즐은 비중이 많이 줄어 들어서, 더이상 퍼즐로 고통받을 필요가 없어졌습니다. 사람에 따라서 사소하다면 사소하고, 크다면 큰 단점도 있는데, 기술시전시간이 깁니다. 근원을 흡혈하거나 생략 불가능한 늘어지는 스펠 캐스팅에 빡칠 수도 있습니다. RPG가 어떤 식으로 변화되고 있는지 관심이 있다거나, 전작을 재밌게 하신 분들이라면 강추드리겠습니다. 아니면 루나틱 돈이나, 대항해시대, 발더스게이트 같은 틀X겜에서 악당역할에 과몰입해서 npc들을 죽이고 사기 치는 걸 즐겨하시는 분들에게도 추천드립니다.
