6월 8일 금요일부터 10일 일요일까지 진행되는 이번 하스스톤 대회 HCT Seoul에 대한 논란들을 정리해봤습니다. 우선 배경-하스스톤 마스터 시스템-에 대한 이해가 필요합니다.  해당 점수는 가장 최근 3시즌(1년) 누적 총점으로 계산됩니다. 가장 최근 시즌 1위였던 유럽서버 hunterace 선수가 66점이었고, APAC 1위였던 DacRyvius 선수는 54점이었네요. 이번 대회는 우승 15점, 준우승 12점, 4강 10점, 8강 8점, 16강 6점, 32강 4점의 점수가 부여됩니다. 등급 혜택은 각 시즌 마지막날 점수를 다시 계산하므로 4개월동안 지속됩니다. 하스스톤엔 4개의 지역이 있습니다. 아시아, 아메리카, 유럽, 그리고 중국. 해당 서버간엔 당연히! 카드 보유 상황이 공유가 안됩니다. 아시아 서버 올 카드 유저라도 타 서버를 가면 튜토리얼을 깨고 팩을 까야 카드를 얻죠. (물론 일본서버 런칭때 일본 유저들이 북미서버에서 깠던 팩, 모험모드를 일본서버 계정에 그대로 지급했지만요.) 유럽, 아메리카 지역 선수들은 타 지역 대회 참가시 슈퍼계정을 지급받았지만, 주로 아시아 선수들은 계정을 받지 못했습니다. 유럽 대회를 참가하려면 여비에 팩값까지 개인이 다 부담해야 됐었죠. 선수들이, 몇몇 유럽선수들까지 아시아 지역 선수들의 슈퍼계정 지급을 요구 했지만 블리자드는 들어주지 않았습니다. 일반인들은 카드를 질러야되는데 선수들에게만 'Privilege' 줄 수 없다며 거절했습니다. 기존 슈퍼계정 지원은 그대로 두고요. 그럼에도 선수들의 요구가 끊이지 않자, 블리자드는 '앞으로 공평하게 하겠다'며 유럽, 북미선수들에 대한 슈퍼계정 지원도 끊어버렸습니다. 고민 해결!  우승 하면 본전치기 되는 즐거운 오렌지 선수네요. 아, 히오스와 오버워치, 와우 선수들은 대회서버 진행으로 당연히 대회 계정을 쓰더군요. HCT Seoul 예선은 4개조 각 128명씩 스위스라운드로 진행됩니다. 각 조당 8위까지 32강 토너먼트에 진출하고요. - 스위스라운드는 같은 승패인 상대끼리 무작위로 매칭시켜서 7라운드 진행 후 7승 0패인선수가 딱 한명 남는 방식입니다. 많은 참가자들을 짧은 시간내에 순위 메기기 좋은 방식이죠. 이전까지는, 특히 아시아와 라틴아메리카 지역은 대회 횟수가 적은 대신 해당 지역 인원들에게 각 조마다 참가 신청이 가능하게 어드벤티지를 줬습니다. HCT 대만이면 대만 선수는 예선을 4번 참가 할 수 있었죠. 유럽 북미에 비하면 점수를 딸 수 있는 기회가 적어서 나온 대회 진행이었습니다. 이번 HCT Seoul은 한국 선수들도 조 구분 없이 딱 한번만 신청이 가능했습니다. 상대적으로 대회가 적어서 생겼던 자국 대회 어드벤티지가 사라졌네요. 거기다 스위스라운드로 오전, 오후로 나누어서 대회를 진행한다는 이야기를 듣고 해당 방식을 많이 경험해본 해외선수들 사이에서 우려가 많았습니다. 분명히 스케줄과 자리 문제가 생길것이다.. 그리고 오후 경기 선수들은 3시에 체크인하고 8시에 경기를 시작, 라운드를 다 끝마치지도 못하고 5경기부터는 오늘로 미뤄졌다고 하네요. 4경기를 먼저 끝내고 새벽 1시까지 기다리던 선수들은 갑자기 다음날 바뀐 시간 공지를 듣고 멘붕해버렸습니다. 한편, 슈퍼계정을 뺏긴 타 서버 해외 선수들은 GLOBAL 조에 참가가 가능했습니다. 128명의 해외 선수가 개인 부담으로 팩값과 비행기값을 쓰고 이번 대회에 참가 했죠. 8명의 선수는 4점의 점수를 따고, 그 중에 우승자가 나온다면 우승상금 6,500$로 다행히 손해는 안보겠네요.  해외 서버 선수들은 스타터팩과 묶음상품의 사이에서 좀 더 까다로운 '선택'이 필요할것입니다. 대회 이틀 전 6월 6일에 게임 메커니즘이 바뀌는 패치가 있었지요.  와! 개구리! 덱은 그 전에 선수들이 제출 한 뒤 공개됐고, 대회 진행측에선 선수들에게 별다른 연락이 없었습니다. 해외 선수 및 모든 선수들이 패치 후 대회 진행전에 폭풍 의견 제시를 했지만 하나도 받아들여지지 않았고요. 그렇게 예선날이 밝았습니다. 예선장에서 신원 확인하고 등록 후 자리 배정 과정에서 직원이 한명 한명 퀘스트 드루이드 가져왔냐고 물어보더니, 퀘스트 드루이드 들고 온 사람들만 덱리스트를 바꿀 수 있는 권한을 줬습니다. 단 15분만 써서요. 자 선수분들 주목해주세요! 다른 카드들도 영향 받았지만 퀘드루 가져오신분들만 이쪽으로 나와주세요! 시간은 15분! 여기 덱 바꾸는 시간 단 15분! 세상에.... 거기다 흡연 통제, 폰스스톤 통제 하면서 하는 소리가 "특정 인원들 모여서 덱 리스트 공유 같은 일이 있을 수 있다. 원래 인터넷도 안되는데 인터넷은 특별히 하게 해주는것" HCT Seoul은 덱 공개 대회입니다. 왜 하스스톤 선수들을 영예로운 점수 사냥꾼으로 만들고 슈퍼계정을 회수했을까. 왜 대회 직전에 패치를 진행해야 했을까. 왜 진행측은 당일 현장에서 공지 후 단 15분만 줄 수 밖에 없었을까. 참가자 모두가 공평하게 불만이 남는 대회입니다. + 아, 저도 시청자 입장에서 5판 다전제 한번에 1시간 넘어가는 메타에 불만이 많습니다. 으으..
