만약 인간의 손빠르기를 갖는, 극도의 딥러닝 학습을 통해 똑똑해질 수 있는 인공지능들(알파스타?)끼리 서로 충분한 대전을 펼친다면 테란:저그, 저그:플토, 테란:플토의 궁극적인 밸런스를 알 수 있겠지만, 그것이 현재 불가능하므로.. 결국 사람과 사람 사이의 몇몇 대전의 내용 및 그 과정-결과의 분석으로만 스타1 종족 밸런스를 논할 수 있다. 1. 스타1 종족 밸런스는 보통 로템형 맵에서 논의된다. 세 종족 간에 밸런스가 잘 맞는 다른 표준적인 맵 형태를 찾을 수 없을까? 본진 - 앞마당 - 센터 및 삼룡이 - ... 플레이어들 간의 많은 대전 경험을 통해서 가장 밸런스가 괜찮다고 평가되는 표준적인 맵 형태가 로템형 맵이다. 루나, 파이썬 등등이 생각나는데.. 적어도 패러독스, 데저트폭스, 815 등등 섬맵과 같이 완전히 특이한 형태의 맵 위에서의 종족 밸런스를 논하지는 않는다. 또 저그의 3해처리를 강제하는 맵 등등도 논외가 된다. 기요틴이라든지 포르테라든지.. 플토는 무조건 더블넥서스가 쉽게 가능한 맵이어야 한다. 안 그러면 프로토스는 전멸한다. 로템형 맵 말고 다른 밸런스가 잘 맞는 맵 형태를 찾을 수는 없었을까? 그러면 종족 밸런스를 논의할 때도 이를 고려해야만 할텐데. 2. 닭이 먼저냐, 달걀이 먼저냐? 이영호가 먼저냐, 테란이 먼저냐? A : 이영호가 잘하기 때문에 테란이 잘해보이는 거지, 이영호 말고 잘하는 테란이 몇이나 되냐? B : 그 이영호가 테란이니까 더 잘하는 거야. 이영호가 저그나 프로토스였으면 이만큼 못할 걸? A : 테란의 트렌드를 제일 앞장서서 주도하고 테란을 이렇게까지 강하게 만든 장본인이 이영호인데? B : 이영호의 능력을 실현시킬 수 있는 잠재력이 이 테란의 테크트리 및 유닛 스펙 등등에 내재되어 있다는 거지. A : 이영호만큼의 실력을 가진 선수가 저그나 프로토스에는 나오지 않았던 거야. 이건 테란의 문제가 아니라 이영호가 잘하는 거야. B : 저그, 프로토스 선수들의 실력을 어떻게 수치화, 정량화해서 테란 프로게이머들과 비교하여 평가할 건데? 나는 이제동의 5회 우승이 이영호의 6회 우승 못지 않다고 봐. 종족 보정을 하면. A : 그럼 너는 종족의 스펙과 선수의 실력(잠재력)을 어떻게 분리해서 수치화, 정량화할 건데? ... 이건 주관이 개입될 수 밖에 없는거 같아요. 그래서 주관적으로 생각하는 걸 적어 본다면,
1. 맵을 다양화해서 테저전 전용맵, 테프전 전용맵 이런거 만들면 괜찮지 않나 싶어요. 사실 역대급 밸런스 망맵에서도 다른 종족전은 명경기가 꽤 나왔습니다.
2. 각 종족의 최정점에 선 자가 나타난다면, 테란이 후둘겨 패는 듯 합니다.
갓까지 안가더라도, 본좌급 테란 유저들이 있을 때, 다른 종족들이 끔살 당했죠. (마XX 제외)
그리고 다른 종족들은 그 틈새에 있을 때, 우승을 나눠먹는 모양새인거 같구요. (온겜은 약간 다를 ... 더 보기
