사실 전 고등학교 때 역사를 제대로 공부하지 않은 학생이었습니다. 학교생활에 그다지 잘 적응하지 못해서 그냥 책상 위나 참고서 페이지에 가내 애니메이션이나 만들면서 시간을 떼우며 지냈었는데, 요즘 소방공무원 준비하느라 한국사 전체를 공부하다 보니 역사에 관심이 많이 생겨, 이이화 선생님의 한국사 이야기도 읽고, 현대사 교양서적으로 뭐가 좋냐고 묻기도 하며 나름 한국인의 정체성을 서른이 지난 이제야 입혀가고 있는 중입니다. 그러던 와중에 장준환 감독님이 '1987' 이란 6월 항쟁을 소재로 한영화를 만들었다고 해서, '지구를 지켜라'를 굉장히 재밌고 인상깊게 본 저로서는 굉장히 기대하고 있었습니다. 어젯밤 조조로 신청하고 두근두근 거리는 맘으로 잠을 잔 후 오늘 아침 시간에 보았습니다. 캬아, 장준환 감독의 연출... '지구를 지켜라'에서 느꼈던 그 거침없고 날것의 느낌이 오랜 시간이 지나 연출한 이 영화에서도 그대로 나오더군요. 감히 '다크나이트'의 몰입감과 비교해도 될까요? 쓸데없는 프레임이 없는 그 간결하고 천재적인 연출이란.. 주제가 주제고 현 시국이 시국인지라, 저처럼 영화에 몰입해서 보는 관객들이 많으셨던지 관객석에서 훌쩍이는 소리도 나고, 엄숙해지기도 했습니다. 저도 가슴이 많이 찡했습니다. 특히 학생들이 고문 받을때 많이 화가 났습니다. 이 정권의 개xx들.. 그 후 영화 막바지로 나가며, 학생과 시민들이 한데모여 시위를 할때 마치 메탈리카의 'One'의 막바지 연주를 듣는 듯이 카타르시스가 폭발하더군요. 통쾌함과 울분이 한데 모여 멋진 영화의 서막을 장식하며 영화는 막을 내립니다. 이 영화는 정말 한국인들이 봐야 되는 영화라고 생각합니다. 보고 나와서 지금 제 친구들한테 전부 강추하면서 집에 왔습니다. 아아 아직도 그 여운이 남아있네요. 많이 감정적인 글이었습니다 하하,,, 좋은 밤 되세요.
