- 애플이 발표한 바에 의하면 : 아이폰 6, 6s, se는 ios 10.2 부터 : 아이폰 7은 ios 11.2 부터 배터리 전력 공급에 비례해서 AP의 성능이 조절되는 기능이 탑재되었음 : 배터리의 전력공급은 쉽게 풀어쓰자면 > CPU를 비롯한 애들이 일을 하기 위해서는 각각 필요한 전력양이 존재함 > 놀고 있을때랑 열심히 일할때 필요한 전력양은 당연히 후자가 더 많이 필요함 > 배터리는 오래될수록, 주변 온도에 따라서, 보존 상태에 따라서, 남은 배터리 양에 비례해서 등등.. 의 다양한 변수로 인해 안정적으로 공급한 전력양이 변동됨 위 문제로 인해 '안드로이드 폰들 및 노트북 기준 배터리 잔량 10~20% 사이부터는 거의 모든 기기가 '저전력 모드'(또는 다른 명칭)에 진입하게 되며 이 상태에서는 '전력을 최소한만 공급받고 동작할 수 있는 클럭'으로 동작하게 됩니다 이건 아이폰도 동일한 기능으로 작동하죠.. 하지만 아이폰은 최근 몇년간 '추운 날씨에서 스마트폰이 픽 꺼지는' 이슈가 있었습니다. 사유는 '추운 날씨일수록 배터리가 공급하는 전력양이 줄어들고, 아이폰이 요구하는 전력양을 충족하지 못하면서 픽 꺼지는건데요' 애플은 ios 10.2에서 해당 문제를 해결했다고 밝혔고.. 실제로 엄청나게 이슈가 줄었습니다. 이해가 빠르신 분들은 퍼즐이 빠르게 맞춰지셨을것 같은데요. 애플은 해당 문제를 해결하기 위해 '배터리의 전력 공급양에 비례해서 기기의 AP 클럭'을 제한하는 코드를 넣었습니다. 말짱한 배터리는 안정적으로 공급하니 풀 스펙이 나오는거고 상태가 안좋아질수록.... 뭐.. 그렇습니다. 그래서 동일한 폰이더라도 '배터리의 %에 따라서' (현 배터리 기술은.. 배터리 %가 높을때 효율이 더 좋습니다) '주변 온도에 따라서' '그 외 환경에 따라서'... 등등의 이유로 공급 가능한 전력양이 왔다갔다 하고.. 애플이 걸어둔 제한에 맞을때마다 AP 스펙이 하향 조정이 됩니다. 많은 이용자들이 테스트 한 결과로는 '최저치까지 내려가면 아이폰 옵션에서 저전력모드를 킨 것과 동일한 클럭' 으로 동작한다고 하네요. (이 클럭이 전력공급이 가장 불안정해도 돌아갈 수 있는 마지노선이기도 하고...) 왜 이 선택을 했는가에 대해서 돌아보면.. 뭐 근본적으로는 아이폰이 안정적으로 돌아가기 위해서 필요로 하는 요구 전력양을.. 오래된 배터리가 충족하지 못하는 문제가 있었고 이걸 해결하기 위해 기기가 스스로 요구 전력양을 낮추는 방법을 택한것이라고 보면 될 것 같네요. 장기적으로도 '배터리 수명, 기기 수명, 안정적인 사용 등'.. 의 측면에서 해당 업데이트는 꽤 합리적인 부분이 있습니다만 문제가 되는 부분은 아래와 같습니다. 정상적인 회사라면 1. 해당 내용을 업데이트 내용에 고지하고 패치해서, 이용자들에게 안내해준다. (위에 적은 배터리가 10~20%일때의 경우.. 수많은 기기들은 해당 내용을 안내하고 있습니다.. 이건 애플도 포함...) 2. 배터리 교체 비용을 합리적으로 만들고, 이용자들이 배터리를 교체할 수 있게 해준다 를 했어야 했습니다만... (현재 기술상 1년이 지난 배터리를 무상으로 해준다는건.. 어느 회사도 해결하지 못한 배터리 기술의 한계다보니..) 애플은 1번은 잠수함으로, 2번은 배터리 교체를 비싸고 쉽게 할 수 없도록... -.- 처리 하면서 큰 문제를 만들었고 덕분에 천조국에서 줄소송이 시작되었습니다. 말하지 않은 이유야 뭐.. '님들 폰 배터리만 바꾸면 엄청 쌩쌩하게 잘 돌아가요' 라는걸 말하기 싫었던게 가장 컸을꺼고.. 실제 줄 소송의 핵심 내용도 위 내용을 중심으로 진행되고 있죠.. (애플은 부정하고 있지만) 줄 소송이 시작되는거 보니.. 배터리 무상교체 프로그램을 가동하든.. 배터리 교체 절차를 합리적으로 만들던... 무언가는 진행되지 않을까 싶네요.. (해당 업데이트를 되돌리는건.. 이미 해법이 아니라고 봐서..) p.s 아이폰 6이라면... 배터리를 바꾸더라도 근본적으로 RAM이 1GB라서 오는 문제가 많기 때문에 -.-.... 새로운 폰으로 갈아타는걸 추천드리고.. 아이폰 6s라면.. 노혼배터리 검색해서 해보시거나, 사설 업체 가시면 손쉽게 배터리 교체가 가능합니다. (얼마 안해요..) 아이폰7이라면.. 최대 1년차라 상황 지켜보시는걸 추천드립니다.
