제가 지금 몸이 굉장히 안 좋은 편이지만, 그래도 이 글은 오늘 꼭 써야겠어서 씁니다. 오늘이 벤양의 생일이거든요! ^^ 1년 반 전? 아니면 2년 전? 즈음에 나는 '안녕하세요'라는 프로그램을 보고 있었다. 어떤 학생이 자기가 좋아하는 가수가 하는 전국의 공연들을 좇아서 이리저리 학업에 지장이 있을 정도로 연예인을 좋아한다는 사연이었다. 그때 나는 그 아이의 심리를 이해하지 못했다. 물론 지금도 되도록 자신의 학업에 문제가 있는 팬 활동은 삼가야 한다는 입장이기는 하지만, 이제 그 아이의 마음에 공감은 할 수 있을 것 같다. 왜냐하면 내가 바로 그런 마음이기 때문에 = =;; 내가 그녀를 처음 본 것은, 당연히 TV스크린에서였는데, 불후의 명곡에서 카니발의 '거위의 꿈'이라는 노래를 불렀었다. 뒤에는 샌드 아트sand art가 공연되고 있는 큰 스크린이 있고, 그 앞에서 벤양이 노래를 부르는데, 당시 내가 받은 인상은 '정말 노래 잘 부르는구나' '샌드 아트 멋있네' 정도였다. 그리고 스쳐지나가는. 나에게 다른 여느 가수들과 별 다른 의미를 갖지 않는 한 가수일 뿐이었다.  http://vod.melon.com/video/detail2.htm?songId=5529472&menuId=26020101 (멜론의 특정 서비스를 이용하지 않는 회원 혹은 비회원이라도 첫 1분은 여기에서 들을 수 있어요) 그러다가 유머게시판에서 마이리틀텔레비젼(줄여서 마리텔) MLT-19 안느x김느 편이 재미있다는 이야기를 보고 그때부터 마리텔에 푹 빠졌었다. 그리고 그 다음번 회차가 MLT-20 윤민수의 25시 노래방 편이었는데, 그 편에서 윤민수씨는 해당 회차 내내 마리텔 특유의 커뮤니케이션 형식(즉, 아프리카tv처럼 방송인이 카메라 앞에서 개인방송을 하고 시청자는 채팅으로서 단체로 방송인에게 피드백을 주는, 그런 방송인과 시청자가 서로 상호작용할 수 있는 소통 형식)에 잘 적응을 못 했는지 방송 내내 진행을 잘 하지 못했다. 대신, 원래는 윤민수씨를 보조적으로 지원해주려고 같이 출연한 벤양이 그 방송을 오히려 활발하게 주도하면서 시청자의 방 퇴장을 막는 데에 큰 역할을 했다. 이것이 나에게 굉장히 인상깊었다. 대학생으로서 거의 끝무렵이었는데, 대학 생활 내내 아웃싸이더로서 지내다가 말 한 마디만 내뱉으면 욕을 먹는 이 불쌍한 소통 못하는 인간에게는, 그 소통 능력이 정말 대단해보였다. 그러니까 내가 이 가수에게 빠지게 된 것은 이 가수의 노래 실력이 먼저가 아니라 그 커뮤니케이션하는 매력이 더 우선이었다. 나에게는 당연하지 않았던 것이 이 가수에게는 너무나 당연한 것이었고, 굉장하다고 생각했다. 사실 그때의 나는, 다른 그 누구라도 소통을 잘 하는 사람이라면 그 사람에게 매력을 느꼈을 것이다(..) 그만큼 소통에 자신이 없었었고, 내가 다른 사람에게 배울 필요를 느끼고 있었을 때였다.  http://tv.naver.com/v/740057 2016년 7월 29일은 내게 운명적인 날이다. 내가 벤양의 팬이 된 지 얼마 되지 않았을 때였는데, 중국 진출을 한다는 이야기가 있었다. 서바이벌 예능? 비슷한 형식의 프로그램이었던 걸로 기억난다. 라진이라는 온라인 개인방송을 수시로 하면서 시청자수를 모으고(네이버 v앱 같은 방식이었던 걸로 기억한다), 여러가지 점수를 얻어서 어느 순위 안에 들면 중국의 어떤 프로그램에 출연할 수 있는 자격을 얻는 것이었다. 아무튼 벤양이 중국 진출하기 전이라고 해서 직접 그녀를 보고 싶었다. 어쩌면 내 생에 마지막으로 그녀를 볼 기회라고 생각하니 움직이지 않을 수 없었다. 그날은 학원의 방과후 학습을 하지 않고 벤양을 보려고 sbs 방송국으로 갔다. 정작 벤양을 보러 갔는데, 그래서 눈만 들면 그녀를 볼 수 있는데, 너무 부끄러워서 계속 땅만 쳐다보고 있었다(..) 그래도 하고 싶은 말은 몇 마디 했던 걸로 기억한다. 그 하고 싶은 몇 마디 말을 하러 간 거니까. 내 마음을 전하고 싶었다. '가수 활동 오랫동안 하시면 고맙습니다' 라고 했었나 아마..   참 많은 것에 놀랐는데, 1. 외모와 달리 성격은 귀여움과는 거리가 멀고 터프함 쪽에 더 가깝다는 점과 2. 소통을 정말 유쾌하게 잘하고 또 격의없게 한다는 점에 특히 놀랐다. 그때 책들을 많이 선물했던 기억이 났다. 인지언어학 책을 선물했던 걸로 기억하는데, 그 프로그램이 어떤 대본을 읽고 이해하는 것이 필요하니 혹시 이 책이 여기에 도움이 되지 않을까 하는 지극히 어이없는 발상이었다.. 내가 지금 타이핑을 하면서도 도대체 이런 걸 왜 선물을 드렸는지 모르겠다. 숨고 싶다.. 아래는 그때 만난 직후 라진 방송에서 나에게 고맙다고, 노래 오랫동안 하겠다고 응답해준 방송이다. 중국 진출이 아깝게 실패한 이후에, 2번째로 벤양을 짧게 뵌 적이 있었다. 하지만 이 이야기는 그다지 중요하지 않으니 생략한다. 3번째로 직접 만나뵈었을 때는 이홍기의 kiss the radio라는 라디오 프로그램 끝나고였다. 이때쯤 나는 이미 그녀의 노래도 무대영상도 찾아듣고, 많은 인터뷰 기사들을 읽고 공감했었던 때였다. 그 방송일이 벤양의 데뷔 6주년 즈음이었다. 다른 팬분들이 어디에서 가져오셨는지 케잌을 가져오셔서 데뷔 6주년을 축하해주셨다. 당신을 매우 존경한다고 직접 처음으로 말씀드렸다.   뮤지컬 데스노트에서 아마네 미사 역을 맡으셨다. 일본의 귀여운 아이돌이자 동시에 제2의 키라가 된 역할인데, 캐스팅이 정말 잘 맞은 것 같다.    예술의전당에서 하는 공연이었다. 뮤지컬알못이라서, 질문게시판에 어떻게 뮤지컬의 티켓팅을 하는지 여쭈었고, 그래서 두근두근하는 마음으로 온라인 싸이트에서 윗층 맨 뒷자리를 신청하는 안전빵 전략을 세워서(..) 결국 티켓팅을 성공했다. 거기에서는 배우의 얼굴은 잘 보이지 않지만, 그래도 누릴 수 있는 감동은 다 누릴 수 있었다. 공연 끝나고 나서 제 꿈이 과학 만화를 그리는 만화가가 되는 것이 꿈이라고 직접 그녀의 눈을 보고 말했고, 그 증표(?)로 칼 세이건의 코스모스를 드렸다. 이 책은 지금까지 벤양에게 드린 책 선물들 중에 유일하게 나도 읽지 않았던(..) 책인데, 직접 양해를 구하고 드렸다. 마침 내가 졸업을 앞두고 있었는데, 벤양이 졸업 축하한다고 싸인해주셨다.   킥보드를 타고 혼자 재밌게 잘 놀으셨다. 저 킥보드는 다른 어떤 한 팬분이 타려고 가져오신 것인데, 한번 타시고 재밌게 놀으셨다. 이게 4번째로 직접 만나뵌 것이고, 그 후에 5번째로 한번 또 찾아뵈었었다. 이선희씨, 박정현씨, 김광진씨의 CD앨범 각각 하나씩을 드렸다. 이선희씨와 박정현씨는 벤양이 제일 존경하는 가수분들이시고, 김광진씨는 내가 존경하는 가수분이시다. 그 날의 날씨는  -이었고, 나는 그 후 며칠 동안 몸져 누웠다(..) 막공날에 6번째로 찾아뵈었다. 같이 셀카도 찍었다.  뭐, 이때 존경한다고 어쩌구저쩌구 하면서 분위기를 다 깼는데, 지금, 커뮤니케이션의 감각이 조금 되살아난 지금, ..매우 후회하고 있다. 벤양이 벤양의 어떤 팬이 인스타에 아이오아이 사진을 계속 올린다는 것에 불만을 품는 장면이 카메라에 담겼는데, 재미있어서 같이 넣어놨다. 그 후로 몇 개월 동안 나는 대학교의 졸업식을 치뤘고, 취업을 위해 전기기사 시험공부에만 전념했고, 그 동안 벤양을 한번도 만나뵌 적이 없다. 나에게는 벤양보다 내 학업이 우선이고, 또 벤양 스스로도 어떤 인터뷰에서 그런 팬의 자기계발하는 모습을 원하기도 했고. 그런 와중에 불후의명곡 김광진님 편이 있었고, 거기에 벤양이 출연했다. 나는 이것을 알려주는 기사를 읽자마자 너무 기뻐서 하루종일 울고 웃고 했다. 내 어릴적부터 내 귀와 내 마음을 책임져주신 김광진님 노래를 벤양이 부른다니!  http://tv.naver.com/v/1563807  http://tv.naver.com/v/1563819 이 날에도 나는 집 안에 콕 틀어박혀서 공부만 해야했고, 김광진님과 벤양을 직접 볼 수 없었다는 것에 참으로 한이 맺혔었다. 하필이면 왜 이때!! 벤양이 김광진님 노래를 부르는 것을 직접 듣고 싶었는데.. (이 한은 그로부터 43일 후에,) 또 김광진님을 직접 만나뵈어서 하고픈 말이 있었는데..ㅠㅠ (또 이 한은 그로부터 딱 56일 후에, 모두 다 풀립니다~) 그 이후에 벤양과 김광진님은 어떤 라디오방송(170408 황정민의 fm대행진)에서 한번 더 만납니다. 서로 동향이시라는 것 같더군요. -- (이때부터 제가 이 글에서 갑자기 존댓말을 또 쓰기 시작했네요 = =;;) 시험에 아깝게 떨어지고, 다시 팬 활동 개시.. 5월은 공연이 많았던 날인데, 벤양이 생애 처음으로 자신의 이름을 걸고 하는 첫 단독콘서트가 있던 달이었고, 또 대학교 행사도 여기저기 많이 다니셨습니다. 벤양이 배재대에 갔을 때 공연을 봤었는데, 마침 그때의 장면을 어떤 분께서 직캠으로 찍어주셨었군요. 괜히 핸드폰을 힘겹게 30분간 들고 찍을 이유가 없었다..는 자괴감이 마구 듭니다. 어떤 팬분과 집으로 가는 길에, 헤어지기 전에 잡담을 많이 떠들었던 기억이 나네요. 배재대를 다녀오고 한밤중에 서울로 기차를 타고 올라오는데 그 과정이 너무 춥고 고통스러웠습니다.. 그때 기차 기다리는 대기실에서 문재인 당선 다큐멘터리가 나오던 때였던 걸로..  벤양의 단독콘서트, 벤양이 임세준씨와 함께 한 듀엣콘서트를 직접 봤고, 퇴근길에 상당히 많이 뵈었습니다. 그래서 만날 때마다 계속 감사드린다고 말씀드렸습니다. 오글오글거리지만 제가 취업을 하거나 해서 벤양을 더이상 직접 보기 힘들 때가 곧 다가온다는 생각을 하면, 계속 부끄러움을 참고 감정표현을 해야겠더군요. 제 목소리가 굉장히 주눅들어있었어도 그보다 더 용기를 내어서 계속 감사하다고 했어요. 자꾸 고마운 걸 망각하는 것 같아서 이것은 곧 제 스스로에게 말하는 것이기도 하고. 또 기사 공부를 한동안 열심히 했어요. 계속 또 공부만 하다가.. 시험을 20일 앞두고 벤양에게 시험 잘 보겠다고 말하려고 잠깐 시간을 내어서 직접 뵈었어요. 이 날 카메라가 동영상을 자꾸 오랫동안 못 담고 몇 초 안 있어서 끊기는 현상이 발생했었어요. 그 원인은 아마도 블루투스 이어폰 신호와 핸드폰 신호의 상호간섭 때문이지 않을까(?) 하고 추측합니다.. 굉장히 유력해요. 직접 실험을 해봤거든요. 블루투스 신호를 차단한 상태에서 카메라를 켰어야 했는데! 벤x임세준 - 슬픈 인연 http://tv.naver.com/v/1801185 어떤 팬분이 그림을 그리시는 일을 하셔서, 그 그림을 벤양에게 선물로 드렸어요. 벤양은 자신이 살쪘지만 대신에 더 예뻐졌으니 상관없다고 하시고.. 이때 불후의명곡 퇴근길이었는데, 임세준씨를 오랜만에 또 봤어요. 스스로를 벤양 매니저 같다고 자학하는 장면이 왠지 웃픈데 그것은 제 카메라가 못 잡았습니다. 시험을 봤는데, 아직 그 결과는 지금까지 안 나왔지만 계산을 대충 해보니 합격선에서 또 조금의 차이로 떨어질 것 같아서 기분은 좋지 않았지만, 그래도 벤양을 만나러 갔어요. "시험 끝나자마자 며칠만에 왔어요" "시험은 잘 봤어요?" "..합격선에서 1~2점 차이로 떨어질 것 같아요 ㅠㅠ" "에이, 꼭 붙을 거에요~"  같이 셀카를 찍었어요. 벤양이 눈 위에 벌겋게 부어있는 것은 고데기? 를 뭐 어떻게 하다가 데었다고 하는데 무슨 소리인지 모르겠음요.. 저보고 머리카락 안 자르고 장발이 되었다고 일진 같다고도 하셨어요. 저 머리카락이 한 4개월여를 안 자르고 계속 놔두었던 것인데.. 왜냐하면 이발비조차 아끼는 근검절약을 보였으니까..가 아니라 그냥 용돈이 없어서. 공부하는 동안 그 스트레스를 푸느라고 계속 김밥천국 가서 혼자 외식을 정말 많이 했었어요. 평소에 쓰지도 않았던 외식비를 다 쓰니 용돈이 없고, 그래서 이발비조차 없었죠. 머리카락이 눈 앞을 가리고, 저는 거기에 계속 스트레스를 받아하면서 공부를..;; 김예원의 볼륨을 높여요- 라는 kbs라디오를 보러 갔어요. 최낙타라는 분과 같이 라디오 게스트로 출연하셨는데, 라이브는 없었지만 자신의 실제 연애 경험을 라디오 사연에 감정이입하면서 흥분하면서 재미있게 읽는 벤양의 모습을 볼 수 있었습니다. 저는 더위에 강해서(대신 추위에 약함) 계속 보이는 라디오를 건물 밖에서 보고 있었는데, 다른 대다수의 팬분들은 그동안에 건물 안쪽으로 들어가 있었을 정도로 더위를 못 견뎌하시더군요. 2017년 7월 20일이 그렇게 더웠..나요? 어떤 팬분이 벤양의 그림을 그려서 주셨어요. 저는 예전에 읽은 웹툰 만화책들 중에 아무거나 서점에서 골라서 벤양에게 드렸어요. 그리고 곧 다가올 생일을 축하드린다고 말씀드렸어요. 불후의 명곡 리처드 막스 편에 벤양이 출연합니다. 아직 미방영인데 기사로 벤양이 출연한다는 소식을 확인하고서 사연을 썼지만 아쉽게도 스튜디오 안에 들어가지는 못했고, 퇴근길에 벤양과 임세준씨를 뵈었어요. 임세준씨와 셀카도 찍고, 벤양과 임세준씨에게 싸인도 받았어요.   그리고 생일 축하드린다고도 또 말씀드렸어요! (불후의 명곡 스케쥴이 그 사이에 있는지를 몰랐어서 저번에 생일 축하드린다고 말씀드렸는데 이번에 또 오게 되어서.. = =;;)    ----- 여기까지가 저의 벤양의 팬으로서의 이야기 전부이고, 음.. 제가 하고픈 말은, 저에게 벤양은 참으로 여러가지 감정이 드는 사람이기도 한데요, 항상 제가 벤양에게서 얻고자 하는 것은 벤양의 소통하는 태도, 자세와 마음을 제가 닮는 것입니다. 저는 굉장히 이기적인 사람이라서 어떤 사람에게서 어떤 이득을 얻지 못하면 그 사람과 대화조차 안 하는 사람이에요. 그런데 항상 벤양을 따라다니면서 그녀로부터 제가 배우는 것이 많기 때문에 계속 팬을 합니다. 또 팬을 하는 보람이 있는 스타이고.. 그리고 벤양의 팬분들과 수다떠는 것이 정말 재밌어서 다니기도.. 합니다. 참으로 여러 스펙트럼의 팬분들을 만날 수 있기 때문에 재밌어요. ----- 지금까지 허접한 글 읽어주셔서 고맙고, 항상 건강하세요. 건강이 제일입니다. 제가 지금 몸이 상당히 안 좋아서 그렇습니다. 그리고 항상 가족과 화목하기가 그렇게 힘이 드는 저는 또 말씀드리고 싶은 것이.. 항상 집안에 평안이 넘치셨으면 좋겠습니다.
