안녕하세요. 저번에 탐라에 토익 705점 축하해달라고 썼던 dOnAsOnG이라고합니다. 토익 700점정도가 딱 평균점수에 가깝더라구요. 정확히는 680점정도. 이글은 영어공부 잘하는방법이 아닙니다. 그저 저의 영어 초보탈출 수기인거죠. 저는 말그대로 영어포기자 였어요. 음 어느수준이었냐면요. 끊어읽기는커녕 주어 동사를 찾으라고하죠. 못찾아요. 그럼 수식어구 쳐내라고하죠. 그것도 못해요. 한마디로 문법 개념이 없었죠. 하지만 기초적인 문법 공부를 안한건 아니었어요. 5형식 품사 부정사 등등 분명 배운거 같긴한데 배운걸로는 채워지지가 않는 뭔가 조합이 안되는 그런 느낌이었죠. 그렇게 영어랑 담쌓고 지내는데 사실 영어라는게 사는내내 발목을 잡네요. 학교 졸업하면 안해두 될줄 알았는데... 여튼 그런 나에게 다시금 영어에 대해 불씨를 살리게되는 책을 한권 보게 됩니다. 문법없이 영어구조배우기(모기룡저) 라는 책입니다. 이책은 영어공부를 아무리해도 영어가 늘지않는 사람을 대상으로 인지심리학적인 관점에서 문제점을 진단하고 해결책을 알려주는 책입니다. 저에게는 일반적인 문법공부에서 배울수 없었던 마지막 퍼즐조각을 찾은 기분이었습니다. 나무만 보다가 숲을 보게된 그런 느낌이었죠. 영어에 약간의 관심을 갖게된 저는 회사에 가기전 한시간정도 학원에 다니게됩니다. 삼육어학원이라고 가성비로 유명한 회화학원이에요. 일단 한시간 일찍 회사가는게 참 힘들었지만 나름 재밌었어요. 이른 시간대라 그런지 아재들이 많았고 생각보다 다들 영어 실력이 좋진 않더라구요. 여긴 무조건 외우는식으로 공부해야되는데 머 외운거 금방 까먹듯이 많은 효과를 본건 아니었어요. 다만 원어민과의 계속얘기하다보니 회화 울렁증이 좀 사라졌고 매일 해야하는 듣기 숙제가있는데 꼬박꼬박하다보니 듣기도 좀 도움받았던거 같네요. 근데 학원을 오래다니진 못했어요. 둘째 임신으로 회사를 관두게되면서 학원도 4개월만에 관둬야 했죠. 그리고 둘째 태교에 전념하던 어느날 웹서핑을하다가 구문독해에는 고딩들보는 천일문이라는 책이 좋다카더라 라는걸 보고 공부해봐야겠단 생각이 들었어요. 저도 참 영어못하다보니 영어에 좋다카는건 막 다 찾아보고 하는지라... 전 부푼배를 안고 동네 도서관에가서 천일문을 공부하기 시작합니다. 이것도 끝까지 다는 못봤네요. 한 80%는 봤는데.. 대출기한이 다되어서요..;; 그리고 여름이되고 둘째를 낳게되죠. 한창 애둘육아로 정신이 없던 제가 왜 토익을 치게되었냐면요. 전 몇년전부터 새해가되면 항상 뭔가 목표를 세워요. 이번에도 어김없이 운동과 영어였죠(^^;;) 글고 새해 토정비결에 올해랑 내년에 똭 관운이 있다고 나오네요. 관운하면 공무원인데.. 올해부터 공뭔영어가 토익으로 대체된다 카던데 토익 공부나 해볼까... 이렇게되어 장난반 진심반 시작하게 되었네요. 물론 공뭔시험의 박터지는 경쟁률과 현실을보고 공무원은 일단 살짝 접었습니다. 전 육아중이라 각잡고 책상에 앉아서하는 공부는 불가능했어요. 둘째가 아직 엄마껌딱지라.. 그래서 인터넷강의로 공부할수밖에 없었죠. 작년에 홈서버로쓸 미니피씨를 하나 마련했는데 그걸 티비에 붙여놓고 마치 드라마 정주행하듯이 인강 정주행을 시작했습니다. 영단기 환급반을 신청해놓고 일단 워밍업겸 해서 무료인강을하나 들었습니다. 대성마이맥 유호석선생님의 인강인데요. 암으로 돌아가시면서 카페에 무료로 강의를 볼수있게 해주셨어요. 삼가 조의를 표하며 정말 많은 도움을 얻었던 강의 였습니다. 일단 재밌어서 완강을 할수있었다는게 컸습니다. 그러고나서 영단기 정재현쌤의 rc강의를 들었죠. 정재현쌤도 완전 재밌으십니다. 전 입문반을 책없이 빠르게 돌린후 기본서강의는 책으로 따라가면서 공부했어요. 그러다보니 한달이지나고 결재해두었던시험이 3주정도 남게 되었어요. (제가 좀 저지르고 보는 스타일이라...;;) 그제사 슬슬 lc걱정이되네요. 그냥 셤 일단 망했다고 생각하고 lc 권오경 선생님의 강의를 듣기 시작합니다. 저분 강의는 일단 짧아요. 군더더기 없이 깔끔하고 또 재밌으시죠. 근데 제딴엔 짧으니까 부실해보이고 이게 실력이 오를까 긴가민가하면서 들었어요. 한 3개정도를 완강하고나니 진짜 실력이 오른 느낌이나네요. 신기했습니다. 여튼 저의 수기는 여기까지에요. 영어는 어떻게 하느냐보다는 관심인거 같아요. 저에게는 철옹성같았던 영어가 사실은 그렇게 어려운것만은 아님을 알게되었습니다. 여기서 끝이 아니죠. 사실 지금부터가 시작인거 같기도해요. 혹시몰라서 상표명은 가려야하나요? 영단기 광고냐 이런거 절대아님돠. 다른 인강 해커스 등등 이런거든 머든 다 좋다고 생각해요. 방법이 그닥 중요한게 아니라고 생각해서요. 이상입니다. 영어공부하시는분들 모두 화이팅하세요!
