1. 저는 게임과 애니와 만화 등등을 무척 좋아하는, 세간에서 말하는 오타쿠에 부류에 속하는 사람중에 하나입니다. 개인적으로는 오타쿠라는 어감을 별로 좋아하지 않습니다만(주변에서 말하는 오타쿠의 뜻=오덕페이트 인 경우가99%이고, 자연스레 그런 인식이 박여버렸는지도요) 요즘 뭐랄까, 삶의 활력을 잃은 듯한 느낌이랄까요. 애니를 보면 재미있고, 한화의 야구에 열광하고, 게임을 하면서 흥미를 느끼는데도 어딘가 충실감을 느끼지 못한달까, 만족감을 느끼지 못하고 있네요 2. 요즘 주로 찾게 되는 장르가 순정 로맨스 쪽인것 같습니다. 그것도 보는 사람이 옆구리가 아주 시려울 정도로 달달하고 알콩달콩하고 보는 사람의 염장을 지르는 그런 장면들이 좋더라고요. 연애를 하고 싶어하는 걸까요? Candy boy라는 작품이 요즘 제 염장을 제대로 지르고 있습니다. 달달달달달달해서 몸이 녹아내릴것만 같네요. 3. 제가 가장 좋아하는 작품은 하세쿠라 이스나 선생님의 '늑대와 향신료'라는 적품입니다. 애니를 보는 순간 푹 빠져서 원작 소설까지 사 모으게 되었죠. 제가 산 최초의 라노벨입니다. 그런데 제 경우 완결을 보는 게 많이 늦네요. 좋아하던 작품이 끝나는 게 아쉽고 다 보면 뭔가 공허해서 그런지 마지맛 17권을 산게 2년이 넘은 것 같은데(발매하자마자 샀으니) 최근에야 겨우 봤네요. 물론 이야기가 참으로 제 취향으로 만족스럽게 끝났지만, 한동안 또 싱숭생숭대는 기분을 어찌 해야 할지요 크크. 참고로 아리아 애니메이션 3기는 아직까지 못 보고 있습니다. 내용은 다 알지만 보게 되면 또 한동안 그럴 것 같아서... 4. 나이가 25입니다. 아직 많이 어린 나이죠. 그렇지만 이제는 본격적으로 제 인생설계를 해야 할 나이입니다. 아직은 부모님 밑에 얹혀 살고는 있지만 언제꺼지 그럴 순 없으니까요. 그런데 뭘 해야 할지 잘 모르겠습니다. 뭘 하고 싶은지도 잘 모르겠네요. 고등학교를 졸업하고 일을 하고, 군대문제가 해결되고 같은 일을 계속 하긴 하지만, 단순 생산직 노가다가 무슨 도움이 될까요. 기술을 익히는 것도 아니고 그렇다고 경력이 되는 것도 아니고. 단지 하루하루 벌어 먹고 살아가는 것 뿐이죠. 당장 회사에서 짤린다면 막막할 뿐입니다. 기술도 없고, 학력도 없고, 어디 다른 데 비벼 볼 밑천이 없는 상태라서 말이죠. 기술을 배워야지 생각은 하지만, 맘처럼 쉽지는 않네요. 5. 의지가 약한 인간입니다. 키가 180이지만 몸무게가 고등학교 이후로 두자릿수 이하로 내려가 본 적이 없네요. 나를 바꿔 봐야지 언제나 생각은 합니다만, 언제나 생각으로만 그칠 뿐이죠. 6. 일본어를 조금 합니다. 공부라고 하기도 뭣한 공부를 해온게 중2때부터이니 근 10년이 넘어가네요. 애니는 자막 없이도 보고, 일본 가서 아무 지장 없이 의사소통을 할 수는 있습니다. 뭐 최근에는 공부고 뭐고 그냥 애니만 볼 뿐이지만, 자막 없이 보니까 그래도 실력유지정도는 되지 않을까 자기위안 중입니다. 나름 JLPT N1자격증도 가지고 있습니다만, 아무짝에도 쓸 데가 없네요. 한때는 번역가라도 해볼까 했습니다만, 3급 시험에서 거하게 망했습니다. 계속 도전해보려고도 했지만, 번역가로는 벌어먹고 살기가 힘들다는 말에 그냥 포기했습니다. 그래도 일본어 공부는 계속 하고 싶어서 일본어 라노벨 원서들도 사고는 합니다만, 잘 읽히지도 않고 해서 책꽂이에서 썩어가는 중입니다. 그래도 많이 읽고 해봐야 실력이 늘겠죠? 7. 영어도 해볼 생각은 있습니다. 100프로 취미로 시작했지만, 그래도 일본어로 어느정도 성공을 거두었다고 생각해서, 기왕이면 중요하고 쓸데도 많은 영어도 배워두는 게 좋다고 생각이 들어서요. 하지만 그놈의 의지박약이 뭔지. 해야겠다는 생각만 주구장창 할 뿐, 몸은 실행을 하지 않네요. 8. 그런데 중국어는 아주 확고한 의지로 안하기로 했습니다. 학원을 한 두달 다녀봤는데, 이건 나랑은 안맞는규나 생각이 들어서 깔끔하게 포기했죠. 부모님이나 형들은 아직도 중국어를 배우라고는 합니다만... 9. 영어라 하니 생각나는데, 한국 교육과정에서 배우는 영어는 별로 효과가 없다는 생각이 듭니다. 일본어를 배울때는 일단 귀부터 터트렸고, 일단 귀에 뭔가가 들리기 시작하니 그게 잼있어서 공부를 시작하게 되었거든요. 문법적 공부는 아예 안했습니다. 그냥 딱 들어서 이건 왠지 좀 말이 안 되는 것 같다 싶으면 틀린거더라구요. 영어도 이런 식으로 배우면 좋겠지만 일본어는 애니나 게임이 잼있어서 잘 됐다고 쳐도 영어는... 미드도 그닥 서양애니는 진짜 별로... 영화로 해볼까요? 흐흐 그냥 아무 생각 없이 쓰다 보니 주저리 주저리 두서도 앖고 무슨 말을 하고 싶은지도 모르겠는 그런 글자들의 나열이 탄생했네요. 술도 안마셨는데 뭔 얘기를 저리도 많이 했는지... 부디 피쟐 단골인 우리 형이 여기까지 와서 이 글을 읽지 않기만을 바랄 뿐입니다. 불편하시다면 부디 살포시 뒤로가기를 눌러주세요. 핸드폰으로 쓰느라 오타가 많을것 같습니다. 보이는대로 수정을 한다고 하긴 했는데 그래도 왕창 나올 것 같네요. 좋은 밤 보내세요. 7/8에 대해선, 말씀 들어보니 중국어나 영어에 발을 담금으로해서 이렇게 에너지를 분산시키지 마시고 그냥 일본어를 더 깊이 파는 게 어떨까 싶습니다. 언어 습득을 통해 취미생활을 즐기시려는 정도가 아니라 무언가 업으로 삼을 생각이 있다면 취미꾼들 수준을 월등히 뛰어넘는 전문성이 필요해요. 이 수준에 도달하기 위해서는 때로는 언어의 일부 기능을 과감히 스킵해야할 필요도 있고 (예컨대, \"내 직업상 일본어는 그냥 읽을 수만 있으면 돼. 굳이 회화나 작문 까지야..\" 등등) 혹은 집중해서 과감하게 더 파내려가야 할 때도 있지요 (\"연구를 위해 중세 일본어와 칸분 쿤도쿠를 익혀야겠군\" 등등)
단순히 일본어를 할 줄 안다는 것만 가지고 돈을 벌고자 한다면 아주 가벼운 통역이나 번역 정도에서 그치기 쉬워요. 그러기 보다는 구체적으로 일어 능력을 어디까지 끌어올려서 어떤 일에 써먹을지 생각해보시고 목표에 맞춰서 공부하는 게 더 도움이 될 겁니다.
당장 방통대에 일문과가 있는지 모르겠다만 어쨌든 대학 레벨에서 일본어를 공부하는 걸 권하고 싶어요. 이미 JLPT N1이시라니 학원가에서 얻어갈 만한 게 별로 없을 것 같아서이기도 하고 또 대학권에 가면 나름 그바닥에서 어떤 테크트리를 타서 어떻게 입에 풀칠하는지 대강 그림이 그려지기도 하기 때문입니다.
이 경우 아마 두 가지 문제가 있을 수 있어요.
하나는 개인적인 쑥스러움. 스물 다섯에 굳이 다시 대학에 들어가서 어린애들이랑 같이 동기놀이를 해야한다니 등등 같은 게 사소해보여도 실은 극복하기 어려운 문제거든요. 이건 결국 용기 하나로 돌파하는 수 밖에 없는데 조금이나마 보탬이 될까 해서 말씀드리지만 저도 32살에 아직 석사중입니다. 하늘깃님이 지금 어디 일문과 들어가서 졸업하고 통번역 대학원에서 석사까지 마치셔도 32 이전에 끝낼 지도 몰라요 -_-;
두 번째는 조금 더 근본적인 건데, 여태까지 취미생활과 학업이 자연스레 조화를 이루어 일어구사력을 지금 위치까지 끌어올렸다고 하셨는데 뭐 이건 아주 바람직한 케이스지요. 그런데 이게 업으로 삼으려고 들면 이야기가 달라져요. 재미는 줄어들고 고생은 크게 늘어납니다. 그래서 학습량에 비해 보람은 적어지고, 몸도 지치고 마음도 지치게 되지요. 뭐 별 수 있나요. 오기로 돌파하는 수 밖에요. 이 때 역시 또 보탬이 될까 해서 드리는 조언이 있다면, 제 경우 [그래... 이렇게 어렵지 않으면 개나소나 다 잘하지 않겠어? 개나소나 다 잘하면 이걸로 어떻게 돈 벌어 먹을 수 있겠어? 어려우니까 그걸 통과한 후에 직업이 되는 거 아냐?] 마 이런 식으로 마음을 잡았답니다.

의지가 강한 인간 얼마 없어요. 대부분의 경우는 절박해서 그걸 하고 있는 거에요. 힘내시길 바랍니다.
