서울시청광장에서 퀴어문화축제를 즐기고 왔습니다. 굉장히 흥겹고 즐거운 행사였지만 여백이 부족... 아 아니, 필력이 부족하여 적당히 사실관계 중심으로 서술해보겠습니다. (홍차넷 회원분들 중에도 여기 오신 분들 좀 계신 걸로 알고 있는데, 그 분들의 감각적인 리플 기대해봅니다.) 오늘 오전 11시부터 시작된 퀴어문화축제는 오후 2시 무대행사, 5시 카 퍼레이드를 거쳐서 조금 전 6시 반부터 마무리 공연을 진행하고 있습니다.  1. 시청광장 운용 안전한 퀴어문화축제를 위하여 시청광장을 빙 둘러서 울타리가 쳐졌고, 시청역 6번출구 맞은편 횡단보도 쪽으로만 입/퇴장할 수 있도록 되어 있었습니다. 이런 조치를 통하여 행사가 좀 더 질서있게 진행되었고, 성소수자 혐오/방해세력들의 물리적인 방해를 최대한 저지/조정할 수 있었습니다. 2. 부스 주최측 공식부스들을 제외하고도 수십개의 단체들이 참여하여 다양한 굿즈나 간식을 판매하고 브로슈어를 나눠주고 정보교환도 하며 퀴어문화축제를 빛내주었습니다. 다음 사진은 제가 오늘 득템한 굿즈들입니다.   3. 무대공연 / 인간 띠 잇기 레즈비언 밴드 등 성소수자 공연팀들을 포함하여 다양한 공연팀들이 무대를 빛내주었습니다. 광장이 흥겨워질수록 혐오/방해세력들도 몰려올 것을 대비하여, 친한 성공회 신부님과 목사님 등이 주축이 되어 '평화의 인간 띠 잇기'가 기획되었습니다. 무대행사가 진행되는 동안 광장 입구 쪽에서는 여러 사람들이 무지개색 띠를 들고 줄지어 서서 행사장을 보호하여준 덕분에 더 평화롭고 즐거운 행사가 되었습니다. 4. 카 퍼레이드 시청광장에서부터 출발하여 명동을 찍고 다시 광장으로 돌아오는 대행진이 진행되었습니다. 작년엔 혐오세력이 길에 드러누워서 5시간 남짓 진행을 못했다고 하는데, 올해는 좀 더 치밀하게 계획을 세우고 폴리스라인의 도움을 얻어서 비교적 순조롭게 퍼레이드가 진행되었습니다. 퍼레이드 후에 마무리 공연도 끝나고 2015 퀴어문화축제가 모두 마무리되었습니다. 5. 혐오/방해세력 이 이야기를 빼놓을 수가 없죠. 울타리로 쉴드가 쳐진 시청광장 주위로 상당히 많은 혐오/방해세력이 모여들었습니다. 무속인이나 스님분들도 뵈었지만, 대부분은 개신교측 이었죠. 시청 너머 대한문 광장을 맞불집회 장소로 신청하여 베이스캠프로 삼고, 그 중에 행동적인 분들이 끊임없이 행사장으로 진입을 시도하였습니다. 물론 (위에서 말한) 평화의 인간 띠 잇기 일행과 경찰분들에게 저지당하였고, 그러자 입구 앞에서 온갖 혐오발언과 기도(...)를 쏟아내다가 그마저도 경찰분들께 저지되어서 돌아가는 상황이 반복되었습니다. 카퍼레이드도 작년에 비해 '비교적' 순조로웠을 뿐, 공격적인 방해자들에게 맞고 다친 지인들도 있습니다. 퀴어문화축제가 끝난 지금까지도 목소리를 높이며 열정적으로 집회를 진행하고 있습니다. 개신교인으로서 참 많은 생각이 듭니다. 잠깐 숨 좀 돌리려고 카페에 들어갔을 때 그 분들 중 일부가 옆 테이블에 있었는데, 어떤 계기가 되어서 그 테이블과 저희 테이블 사이에 담소가 붙었습니다. (그 중에는 '어디에 오는지는 모르고, 그냥 교회에서 집회 간다길래 버스 타고 그냥 따라오신' 분들도 계시더라구요.) 개인으로서는 너무나도 선량하고 평화로워보이는 분들을 이렇게까지 전투적/비상식적으로 만드는 그릇된 신념과 종교의 힘에 대한 많은 생각이 듭니다. 그리고 그런 상황을 조장하는 종교지도층들에 대한 원망도 함께... 다만, 언젠가 종교계의 인식이 조금씩 바뀌고 사회의 인식도 바뀌어가며 조금은 나은 세상이 올 것에 대한 기대는 여전히 있습니다. 지난 금요일 (준) 개신교국가인 미국에서 동성결혼 법제화가 이루어진 걸 보면, 아예 불가능한 일은 아닐 거라고 생각하고 있습니다. 마무리. 힘든 상황들도 있었지만, 전반적으로는 즐겁고 흥겨운 행사였습니다. 올해는 처음이라 약간 충분하게 즐기지 못한 것 같은데, 내년에는 더욱더 재밌게 즐겨보고 싶네요. 주변의 성소수자들과 교류하면서, 그리고 이런 행사에서 다양한 성소수자들을 보게 되면서, 역시 이들도 똑같은 사람일 뿐이라는 걸 재확인하게 됩니다. 작년 퀴어문화축제 슬로건 '사랑이 혐오를 이긴다' 처럼, 우리 사회가 서로에 대한 이해와 똘레랑스를 넓혀서 독특한 이들도 혐오/소외를 경험하지 않고 동등한 인간으로 살아가는 날이 오기를 기대해봅니다.
