듕국의 위진시대 (魏晉時代)엔 '인물평'이라는 묘한 문학 쟝르가 유행했었답니다. 이게 무슨 놈의 쟝르인고하니 과거와 현재를 막론하고 잘 알려진 인물들에 대해 이런저런 비평을 하는 행위를 이릅니다. 삼국지 매니아들이 "허자장"으로 더 잘 알고 있는 허소(許劭)라는 양반이 조조를 두고 난세에는 간웅이 될 거라고 한 게 그 원조라고 전설처럼 전해져요. 어떻게 보면 다른 사람을 놓고 뒷담화 까는 것처럼 보이지만 사실은 이게 꽤 공평한 놀이예요. 평론 당하는 쪽만 평가받는 게 아니라 평론하는 쪽 역시 독자의 평가를 받게 되거든요. 위의 사례로 돌아가면 조조는 허소에게 평가를 받고 허소는 당대 및 후대의 독자들에게 평가를 받으므로 쌍방 모두에게 공평하다고 할 만하지요. 학교나 기업에 지원서를 쓸 때 존경하는 인물 따위를 쓰라고 하는 게 좀 진부하고 유치해보여도 이런 면이 숨어있다고 할 수 있어요. 지원자가 어떤 인물을 평하는 걸 관찰함으로써 그 능력치를 측정해볼 수 있기 때문이지요. 아무리 그래도 '존경'이라는 말에는 여러가지 불필요하게 무거운 의미가 담겨 있으니 그런 건 떼버리고 어디 한 번 자신이 사랑하거나 좋아하는 인물, 최애(最愛) 인물에 대해 말해봅시다. 다만, 이름만 대고 끝내면 아니되옵니다. 1,500여년 전 듕국에서 청담清談 나누던 아재들이 그랬던 것처럼 가능하면 자세한 이유와 머찐 묘사술을 동원해서 해보아요. 아 참. 혹시나 홍차넷 회원 중에 최애캐가 있더라도 여기서 고백하지 마시고 속으로만 이쁜 사랑 고이 키워주세요. 토비님 X존잘이라든가 그런거 하지 마세요. 저격하면 벌받아여. ...자 이제 연휴가 끝났습니다. 출근/등교한 월도님들은 고개를 듭니다. 뉴턴의 양동이라든지 하는 사고를 통해 절대적인 시간, 공간의 개념을 구상하는 걸 보면, "이 사람이 나름 꽤 엄밀한 철학 위에 과학을 세우려 했구나" 하는 생각이 듭니다.

찰스 다윈은 존경하지만, 제가 진화론에 대해 일절 모르므로 패스...
다만 어디서 듣기로, 찰스 다윈이 아주 note-taking을 잘 했다고 해요. 거기에서 진화론이 나왔다고... "혹시 나처럼 문서 필기 덕후인가?"하는 생각도 듭니다.
과학자 이외에는 별로 좋아하지 않습니다.(물론 얼굴예쁜 여자연예인들 전부, 그리고 세종대왕+이순신 등등을 추가로 좋아하긴 합니다만..)
저는 아이작 뉴턴이 좋아요.
물론 미적분학 창시라든지 뉴턴역학 확립이라든지 이런 건 다들 아실테고
뉴턴의 양동이라든지 하는 사고를 통해 절대적인 시간, 공간의 개념을 구상하는 걸 보면, "이 사람이 나름 꽤 엄밀한 철학 위에 과학을 세우려 했구나" 하는 생각이 듭니다.
물론 훅에 대한 찌질한 작업이라든지 여자를 멀리했다든지 하는 건, 별로지만... 완벽한 사람은 없죠.
(하지만 최애캐는 맥스웰과 아인슈타인이라는 게 함정)
찰스 다윈은 존경하지만, 제가 진화론에 대해 일절 모르므로 패스...
다만 어디서 듣기로, 찰스 다윈이 아주 note-taking을 잘 했다고 해요. 거기에서 진화론이 나왔다고... "혹시 나처럼 문서 필기 덕후인가?"하는 생각도 듭니다.
