페르소나 시리즈의 팬들이 계속 갈구하고 있던 기대작 페르소나 5가 출시된지 어언 2주가 지났습니다. 일본에서 8월 15일 자정부터 판매 및 DL이 풀렸고 아직까지 PSN스토어 판매랭킹 1위에서 내려오질 않고 있습니다. 최근 괜찮은 JRPG가 없던 콘솔시장에서 페르소나5의 위치는 현재 독보적입니다. (라고 썼는데 일본 PSN이라 그럴지도 모르겠네요 헤헷.. 다른 스토어는 잘 모르겠습니다) 저는 페르소나5를 하기 위해 플레이스테이션 4를 작년부터 구입했던 사람입니다. 설레는 마음에 페르소나5는 예약판으로 다운로드받았고, 페르소나 1~5의 사운드트랙과 DLC 등등을 함께 다운받을 수 있었습니다. 그리고 설레는 마음에 플레이를 시작했고 2주가 좀 지난 지금 플레티넘 트로피까지 취득하는데 성공했습니다. 140시간가량의 플레이타임이 지나고나서 저는 지금 약간 나른한 현자타임을 느끼고 있습니다. 이게 갓겜이냐 아니냐는 논란의 여지가 있겠습니다만 이번 작은 몇번의 출시 연기를 거듭한 끝에 나온 결과물이기 때문에 그걸 감안해서 저는 좀 부족한게 많은 게임이라는 평가를 내리고 싶습니다. 하지만 이건 플레티넘을 취득하고 나서의 평가이고, [1회차를 다 클리어할동안은 정말정말 너무도 재미있게, 즐겁게 플레이했습니다.] 일단 그 기억만으로도 이번 작을 구입한것에 후회는 없습니다. 다만 팬으로서 아쉬움이 좀 있는데 주로 그 점에 대해 써보고 싶습니다. 이하 쓰는 내용은 시나리오적인 내용누설이 없고, 최대한 내용누설을 안하도록 쓰여져있습니다만.. 그런것도 싫으신분들은 안보시는걸 추천합니다. 헤헤 게임 출시 2주가 지나가고 있는데 아직도 엔딩 트로피 취득률이 17%인데다 각 커뮤니티 게시판에서는 아직도 절반도 진행 못한 분들이 많은 것 같습니다. 저는 1회차 엔딩 보기 직전 세이브파일이 90시간이었습니다. 2회차 플레이때 플레티넘을 취득했는데 다 끝나고나니 141시간이더군요. 그만큼 시나리오 볼륨이 꽤 되는 편입니다. 다만 이 게임은 (페르소나 시리즈가 대체로 그렇듯이) 계속해서 즐길 수 있는 그런 성질의 게임은 아닙니다. 시나리오 볼륨은 분명 큼직하지만 그게 다입니다. 중간중간 사이드 스케줄에서 미니게임이 몇가지 있긴 하지만 사실 별로 손대지 않아도 게임 클리어엔 하등 지장이 없는 요소죠. 이 게임은 시나리오를 다시 반복해서 진행하기에 플레이어를 너무 힘들게 만드는 요소가 즐비합니다. 일단 2회차나 3회차를 플레이할때 스킵해도 될만한 부분들이 분명 있음에도 튜토리얼 설명이나 5분가량의 엔딩크레딧 스킵이 불가능한 부분이 너무 아쉽다고 생각합니다. 엔딩 크레딧은 동료들이 등장하는 회상 장면으로 이루어져있는데 처음 볼땐 참 흐뭇하게 잘 만들었다는 감상이 듭니다만 2회차 클리어 후에 볼때부턴 왜 이게 스킵이 안될까 고심하게되죠. 그리고 중간중간 로딩이 참 많은데 이걸 여러가지 볼거리로 장식해놓아서 지루함이 덜 느껴지게 하는 점은 좋다고 생각합니다. 하루하루 넘어갈때마다 좀 더 빨리 넘길 수 있으면 그럴 수 있게 해주면 좋겠단 생각도 들지만 뭐 그건 너무 바라는게 많은거겠죠. 하지만 UI는 문제가 분명 있다고 생각합니다. 일단 눈이 아픕니다. 빨간색을 너무 많이 사용하고 있어요. 총공격 컷씬, 승리포즈, 단톡방 배경.. 새빨갑니다. 이런 배색은 작품의 개성을 표현하는 요소라고 포장하고 싶긴 한데 그 개성보다 중요한 플레이어 시각에 상당히 피로감을 주는 요소라고 생각하거든요. 최소한 단톡방 배경같은거라도 다른 배경으로 바꿀 수 있는 기능이 있었다면 더 괜찮지 않았을까 하는 아쉬움이 들었습니다. 또, 처음 플레이할때 새 게임, 이어하기, 설정의 세가지 메인 메뉴가 있습니다만 엔딩을 보더라도 여전히 메뉴는 세가지인 점에서 약간 실망감을 느꼈습니다. 저는 컨텐츠 메뉴의 해금을 내심 기대했었거든요. 음악을 다시 들어보거나, 게임중에 재생되었던 애니메이션들, 엔딩 크레딧을 다시 볼 수 있는 방법이 없어요. 물론 반드시 게임에 컨텐츠 관람 메뉴가 있어야한다는 법은 이 세상 어디에도 없긴 하지만, 그렇게 즐비한 연기 끝에 출시했으면 다시보기/다시듣기 등의 컨텐츠는 만들어서 출시했어도 괜찮지 않았나? 싶은 생각이 듭니다. 그런점이 좀 아쉽습니다. DLC로 다운받을 수 있는 페르소나3의 월광관고교 교복을 장비하거나 페르소나4의 야소가미고교 교복을 장비하면 전투 테마나 승리 테마 음악이 해당 작품의 음악으로 재생되는데 이 점은 굉장히 좋았습니다. 플레이타임이 길고 일정상 던전을 한큐에 클리어해야하는 경우가 많은걸 감안했을때 이렇게 변화를 줄 수 있는게 좋았거든요. 페르소나3 PSP판처럼 내비를 이용해서 던전 브금을 바꾸거나, 다른 설정 기능을 이용해서 일상생활 브금도 바꿀 수 있으면 좋겠다는 생각도 했었는데 이건 제가 얼마전까지 아틀리에 시리즈를 하다 와서 그런 것 같습니다. 아마 이번에 구입할때 전작들의 OST를 예약판에서 함께 제공받았기 때문에 인게임에서도 다른 시리즈의 브금을 깔고 싶다는 욕구가 발현된게 아닌가 뭐 그런 생각이.. 아마 페르소나3FES나 페르소나4골든처럼 페르소나5도 추가적인 타이틀이 출시된다면 보강해야할 부분이 많을거라 생각합니다. 시나리오상 풀리지않은 떡밥도 있었고, 선택지가 굉장히 많은 것에 비해 실제 시나리오에 영향을 주는 선택지가 극히 적다는 점도 조금 아쉬웠어요. 그리고 컨텐츠 메뉴가 추가되야하지 않을까 싶어요. 그리고 눈을 너무 피곤하게 만드는 화면 배색이나 효과들도 조정을 좀 할 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 그런 점들이 아쉽게 느껴졌었거든요. 이런저런 요구사항(?)들을 잔뜩 쓰긴 했지만 장점도 그만큼 많은 작품입니다. 전투에서는 예전의 몰개성한 쉐도우들이 아니라 여신전생시리즈의 악마들이 상대로 나옵니다. 저는 여신전생시리즈도 재밌게 즐기던 사람이었기 때문에 이렇게 악마들이 인게임에서 살아움직이면서 목소리까지 내주는걸 보고 마치 옛날 슈퍼로봇대전 알파에서 전투씬 애니메이션을 처음 봤을때처럼 감격했거든요.(?) 그 외에도 여신전생시리즈처럼 협상을 통해서 이득을 취하는 요소가 추가된 부분이나 공격속성이 늘어나면서 전략도 쪼끔 더 신경을 쓰게 된다는 점. 인게임 이벤트 등에서 캐릭터들의 움직임이 정말 살아있는것처럼 자연스럽고 성우들도 훌륭하게 열연해준 덕에 캐릭터들이 잘 잡혀있다는 점. (물론 예외도 있습니다만) 페르소나3의 던전 요소(메멘토스) 와 페르소나4의 던전 요소(팰리스)가 공존하는 시스템. 마지막 전개는 좀 호불호가 갈릴 수 있겠지만 그래도 전체적으로 잘 만들어지고 생각할 요소가 많은 시나리오 등등.. 올해에 제가 클리어했던 저만의 갓겜은 위쳐3 이라고 생각했는데 페르소나5도 위쳐3만큼이나 재밌게 플레이할 수 있었습니다. 이번 작도 한글화가 되서 출시된다면 분명 P4G만큼이나 국내 콘솔 유저 사이에서 큰 인기를 얻을 수 있을거 같네요. 만약 여러가지 결점을 보완한 페르소나5골든(가칭)같은게 나온다면 또 사서 해보지 않을까.. 하는 생각을 했습니다. 사족1. 근데 저는 브금은 페르소나4쪽이 더 좋은거같습니다. 헤헤. 5의 재즈스러운 느낌도 좋은데 4의 밝고 쾌활한 부분이 더 어울리는 것 같아요. 사족2. 쌍둥이는 사랑입니다.
