원래 아래 선비님께서 쓰신 글에 댓글로 달까하다가 워낙 논란이 된 글이고 이곳저곳에 펌된 글인데다가 그 모든 곳에서 제 글이 문제시되는 이유가 비슷비슷한 고로 선비님 외에 댓글잠금된 제 글에 대한 변을 겸하여 게시글로 적겠습니다. 만약 토비님께서 보시기에 관련글이 한페이지에 몇개씩이나 있기에 문제적이다 싶으시다면 선비님 글에 댓글화해주셔도 상관없습니다. ---- 음, 제가 아래 올린 '백윤식을 용납해야하는가"는 극단적인 비유와 그 극단적인 비유에 대한 선택적인 해명으로 굉장히 많은 분들의 반감을 샀지요. 이는 그에 대한 짤막한 해명인데요. 뭐, 어디까지나 해명에 초점이 맞춰져있을 뿐, 제 글에 예상되는 모든 반론에 대한 재반론 및 원문에 대한 정당화가 아님을 먼저 이야기드리겠습니다. 사실 본문에 다는 게 제일 좋을텐데 댓글잠금이 되어놔서리. 아랫글이 저따위인 건 제가 임의로 상정했던 청자군 때문입니다. 왜 그렇게 임의로 청자군을 상정했냐면요. "메갈이나 일베나", "메갈은 곧 나치, KKK단과 같은 악의 무리다"라고 여과 없이 말을 하는 사람들을 독자층으로 상정했거든요. 저는 메갈에 대해 이러한 입장을 보이는 사람들이라면 자신의 논리를 정당화시키기 위한 전제로 맥락과 상황, 소재를 모두 추상해버리고 '고인드립과 패드립을 얼마나 했느냐'라는 사고방식을 가지고 있을 수밖에 없다고 가정했습니다. 예컨대 김자연은 메갈에서 파는 티셔츠를 샀다->그 티셔츠는 메갈에서 패드립치다가 소송 걸린 사람들의 패소 소송 대비 비용을 모금하기 위한 목적이었다->메갈에서 이루어지는 수위의 패드립과 고인드립은 일베가 다를 바 없다->일베는 나치와 다를 바 없는 반사회적인 집단이다->반사회적인 행동에 동참을 한 김자연은 커리어 상에 타격을 받아도 무방하다...... 뭐 이 정도 의식의 흐름을 가졌고 이를 태연하게 말하는 사람들을 상대로 글을 쓴 것입니다. 이건 물론 다시 두가지의 전제를 깔고 갑니다. 1. 클로저스라는 게임을 남성연대에서 만들거나 국가가 공익을 목적으로 제작한 게임이 아닌 한(국가가 공익을 목적으로 제작한 경우에야 모든 부분에서 해당 사회가 요구하는 일정 수준의 사회적 건전성은 기본으로 깔고 들어가는 만큼) 메갈리아 회원이냐 아니냐가 배역을 맡느냐 아니냐를 가를 정도로 중대한 문제가 된다는 당위적 기준을 생각하기 어렵다. 2. 설혹 메갈리아냐 아니냐가 그리 중차대한 문제라고 한들 그들이 판매하는 티셔츠를 구입한 사실 및 일부 사례에서 메갈리아를 변호한 것을 가지고 가장 극단적인 성향의 메갈리아 회원이라고 판단하긴 어렵다. 라는 것입니다. 저는 이러한 '어렵다'라는 의문에 모두 그렇지 않다라고 대답하거나 혹은 모호하다...라고 말할 사람들을 독자층으로, 좀 더 분명하게 말하자면 제 글에서 상대해야할 표적으로 예상했습니다. 그리고 그렇게 말하는 사람이라면 분명 아랫글과 같은 극단적인 상황 배제나 소재 흐트리기 등을 용인할 수밖에 없으리라고 생각했습니다. 왜냐면 당장 그들의 논리는 저런 비약이 아니면 성립하기 어려우니까요. 아랫글의 문제라면 제 머릿속으로 이루어진 이러한 양상에 대해서 엄밀하게 밝히지 않은 게 될 겁니다. 2의 전제에 대해서라면 "옹달샘에게 팥을 후원한 개그맨 a" 등으로 분명 그러한 맥락을 밝히기는 했지만... 1은 아예 건너뛰었더군요. 아마 너무나 많은 곳에서 "일베나 메갈이나"란 이야기를 보고 "한국의 진보 언론이나 진보정당에서 단지 다루는 소재가 지역드립과 젠더 이슈라는 차이를 이유로 일베와 메갈을 구분짓는 게 이해되지 않는다. 패드립치는 건 똑같은데..."와 같은 이야기를 보았기에 넥슨 성우 사태에 넥슨 지지를 당위 차원에서 주장하시는 분들이라면 당연히 1과 같은 사고를 하리라고 상정했던 거 같네요. 그나마 1을 다룬 부분이라면 [하지만 그 난장판 속에서도 모호하나마 어렴풋한 기준쯤이야 사회적으로 용인되겠죠. 예컨대 전두환을 대놓고 까는 영화 ‘26년 후’에 대해선 저런 논란조차 나오지 않았으니까요. 이 사회에서 목소리를 내는 ‘어떤 이들’이 보기엔 여성 문제가 바로 그렇지 않을까 싶습니다.] 여담을 통해 살짝 끼적이긴 했는데... 이걸로 위에 제가 쓴 임의의 독자층과 관련된 이야기들을 모조리 암시하기엔 굉장히 불분명하죠. 이건 분명 제가 글을 잘못 쓴 게 맞습니다. 사실 '그때 그 사람들'과 '운지의 꿈'을 동치시키는 어거지를 본다면 누구나 자연스럽게 이러한 맥락을 읽어내겠지...라고 저 혼자 좋을대로 생각했는데, 네, 뭐 제 글에 대한 반응에서 보이듯 그냥 저 좋을대로의 생각이었죠. 아마 제 글이 위와 같은 맥락을 포함했다면 댓글란은 '운지의 꿈'과 '그때 그 사람들'을 구분짓는 사람 중에서도 일베와 메갈, 메갈에서 패드립을 친 이와 메갈 티셔츠를 입은 이를 구분하지 않는 사람들의 의견이 반론의 대부분으로 되었겠지요.(뭐 이런 말을 하는 저 자신이 그렇다고 일베와 메갈은 엄연히 다른 윤리적 잣대를 들이대야하는 집단이라고 생각하진 않습니다. 그런 입장도 아니고요.) 전 그들의 '선'이, 정확히 말하면 스스로가 상정한 '선'에 대해 재고하지 않으며, 다른 많은 이들도 자신과 마찬가지로 생각해야한다고 믿는 사람들이 굉장히 자의적으로 느껴지더라고요. 그래서 '그럼 어디 내가 상정한 세계의 자의성도 견딜 수 있겠니?'란 의미로 운지의 꿈을 던졌던 거죠. 제가 미러링빠.......여서 그런 건 아니고 원래 미러링이 사회적으로 유명세를 타기 전부터 저딴 식으로 글을 곧잘 쓰긴 했습니다. 더군다나 근년간 커뮤니티를 끊고 지내다보니 이럴 때 필요한 설명이 어떠어떠한 게 있는지 좀 망각하고 있었네요.
