얼마 전 안드로이드 M developer preview 시스템 이미지 파일이 공개되었다는 이야기를 듣고 쓰고 있는 넥서스 5에 올려보았습니다. (현재 넥서스 5, 넥서스 6, 넥서스 9, 넥서스 플레이어 용 시스템 이미지가 올라와 있습니다.)  - 아직은 M으로만 표시된 Android 버전. 빌드번호는 MPZ44Q - 나무위키에 소개된 해당 버전의 주요 변경사항입니다. https://namu.wiki/w/%EC%95%88%EB%93%9C%EB%A1%9C%EC%9D%B4%EB%93%9C(%EC%9A%B4%EC%98%81%EC%B2%B4%EC%A0%9C)/%EB%B2%84%EC%A0%84?from=%EC%95%88%EB%93%9C%EB%A1%9C%EC%9D%B4%EB%93%9C(OS)%2F%EB%B2%84%EC%A0%84#s-14 * 안드로이드 페이: 소액결제기능. 미국 내에선 70만여개의 가게에서 사용가능하며 미국외의 지원여부는 밝혀지지 않았다. * 지문인식을 OS차원에서 정식지원 * 4.3에서 잠깐 실수로 공개했던 앱별 권한 관리를 정식으로 지원. 또한, 최초 설치시 모든 권한을 한번에 동의하는게 아니라 권한을 요청할때마다 허가할 수 있도록 되었다. * 향상된 배터리 관리 * USB 3.1 type C 지원 * 볼륨조절단계가 밝기조절처럼 세분화가 되었다. 또한, 볼륨조절 버튼을 누르면 뜨는 창에서 한 번에 알람, 미디어, 벨소리 볼륨 세 가지를 관리할 수 있게 되었다. * 메모리 관리 기능 세분화 * 앱 독 디자인 변경 * 외부 저장소 공식 지원 : 킷캣부터 뜨거운 감자였던 사안인데, 안드로이드 M에서부터 더 적극적으로 지원해주게 되었다. 외장 SD뿐만 아니라 OTG 기기도 지원한다. 사용하는 입장에서는 이전 버전에서 디자인이 확 바뀌어 차별화를 주었던 롤리팝과 비교하여 디자인은 전체적으로 유지하면서 세세한 부분에서 조금씩 바뀌었다는 느낌을 받았습니다.  - 귀여운 이모티콘이 같이 나오는 Developer preview의 이스터 에그. 정식 버전에서는 어떠 이미지가 들어있을까요? - 쓰면서 제가 체감할 수 있었던 변화로는 다음과 같은 것들이 있습니다. 1. 테마 개발자 옵션에서 테마를 선택할 수 있습니다. 밝게 / 어둡게 / 자동 중 하나를 선택할 수 있습니다. 우선 설정 메뉴에서는 바뀌는 모습은 보이는데 또 바뀌는 부분이 보이지는 않습니다.    - 개발자 옵션 / 밝게 설정시 / 어둡게 설정시 - 2. System UI 튜너 개발자 옵션에서 활성화하면 System UI 튜너 메뉴가 새로 나타납니다. 여기서는 롤리팝 때 추가된 상단바 빠른 설정 메뉴를 수정할 수 있도록 할 수 있습니다. 다만 이 기능은 아직 불안정하기도 하고 버그가 있는 것이 튜너 메뉴에서는 비행기 모드가 보이지 않는데 실제 상단바 빠른 설정에서는 비행기 모드가 있어서 마지막 설정한 항목이 나타나지 않습니다. 저는 여기 메뉴에 알림 일시중지(활성화시 모든 소리, 진동 기능이 작동하지 않음) 버튼이 포함되어 있는 것이 참 마음에 듭니다. 롤리팝에서는 뭔가 번거로웠던 작업이 버튼 하나로 끝나니 간단해졌다는 느낌을 받았습니다.  - System UI 튜너. 실제 메뉴에서는 비행기 모드 버튼이 중간에 들어가 마지막 핫스팟이 짤려 보이지 않는다. - 3. 구글 런처 앱 서랍 정렬 방식 변경 가장 위에 자주 사용하는 앱을 보여주는 기능이 추가되었습니다. 그리고 좌우 스크롤하던 방식에서 위아래로 스크롤하는 방식으로 바뀌었습니다. 개인적으로 이 부분은 기존 방식과 새 방식 중 하나를 골라 설정할 수 있도록 하는 것이 좋지 않을까 싶었습니다.  - 자주 사용하는 앱은 맨 위에. 그 아래로 설치되어있는 앱 목록이 이어진다. - 4. 잠금화면 빠른 실행 변경 롤리팝에서는 잠금화면 상태에서 왼쪽 끝에서 스와이프하면 전화 기능이, 오른쪽 끝에서 스와이프하면 카메라 기능이 켜졌습니다. 이번 프리뷰 버전에서는 전화 기능에서 음성인식으로 바뀌었고 양쪽 끝 아무 곳에서나 작동했던 것을 아래 아이콘이 있는 부분에서만 작동하도록 바뀌었습니다. 개인적으로 별로 사용하지 않으면서 실수하면 앱이 실행되어버려 귀찮았던 부분이라 바뀐 것은 마음에 듭니다. 다만 음성인식보다는 전화가 낫지 않을까 싶기는 했습니다.  - 잠금화면 - 5. 앱 권한 설정 설정 메뉴에서 앱에 주어진 권한을 설정할 수 있도록 바뀌었습니다. 롤리팝까지는 앱에서 필요로하는 권한을 모두 허용해야 했지만 이번 버전에서는 권한별로 어떤 앱에서 사용을 허가하고 어떤 앱에서 사용을 거부할지 결정할 수 있게 바뀌었습니다.  - 앱 권한 메뉴. 각 항목에 들어가면 해당 권한을 요구하는 앱의 목록이 고르고 원하는 앱에서 권한 부여를 켜고 끌 수 있다. - 6. 볼륨 세부 조절 위에 적었던 볼륨 세부 조절 기능입니다.  - 볼륨 조절. 접었다 폈다를 할 수 있다. - 앱 호환성이야 불완전하지만 개인적으로 필요한 앱들은 다 동작하니 아직까지 특별한 불편함은 느끼지 못했습니다. (거기에 설치하고 나니 이상작동하던 전원 버튼이 정상적으로 작동해서 당황 반 기쁨 반이었습니다. 물론 버전 업그레이드가 아닌 다른 이유로 일어난 일이겠지만요.) 앞으로 안드로이드가 또 어떤 식으로 바뀌어갈지 이달 말이나 다음달 초 공개 예정인 다음 developer preview를 기대합니다.
