안녕하세요. 올해 1월부터 취미로 피아노를 다시 시작한 reason입니다. 노다메 칸타빌레를 다시 보고 난 후에 사랑의 꿈 3번과 쇼팽 에튀드 10-4를 꼭 치고싶어서 시작하게 되었습니다. 피아노 학원을 다니면서 열심히 연습하고 있는데요, 저희 학원에서는 1년에 4회정도 연주회를 합니다. 제가 다니는 동안 연주회가 두 번 있었는데 첫번째 연주회에서는 칠 수 있는 곡이 없어서 참여를 못했고 두 번째 연주회는 다른분과 레파토리가 겹쳐서 참가를 못했어요. 그러다보니 다음 연주회에는 꼭 참여해야겠다는 생각이 꼭 들더라구요. 악기 연습은 혼자 연습실에서 해도 만족감이 크지만 내 연주를 다른사람이 감상해주고 같이 즐거워 해주는 것이 더 큰 매력같기도 하고요. 그런데 제가 무대 울렁증이 있습니다. 청중이 한명이라도 있으면 다리가 떨리고 조급해지는 성격이에요. 그래서 조별과제를 할때도 발표를 해본적은 단 한번밖에 없습니다. 연주회에 참여하려면 곡 연습을 열심히 하는것은 기본이지만, 관객이 있는 무대에서 저의 연주를 무사히 마치는것도 중요하겠죠. 그래서 요즘 무대 울렁증을 극복하기 위해 달려라 피아노를 치러 다니고 있어요. 달려라 피아노(http://www.runpiano.net/)는 고장나거나 사용하지 않는 피아노를 기증받아 수리해서 다시 기부하거나 모두가 연주 할 수 있게 거리에 전시해주는 프로젝트인데요, 한국에는 2013년에 선유도 공원에 1호 달려라피아노가 생기면서 시작되었습니다. 먼저 이번주 화요일에 선유도 공원에 가봤습니다. 오후3시정도의 애매한 시간에 가면 사람이 별로 없겠지?라고 생각하고 갔어요. 선유도공원에 도착하니 어떤 남성분께서 피아노를 연주하고 계시더라구요. 그때 분위기를 살펴보니 주변에 서서 구경하시는분들은 없길래 아 저정도면 별로 부담없이 칠 수 있겠구나라는 자신감을 조금 얻었습니다. 선유도 한바퀴 돌고 오니 먼저 치시던분이 이제 자리에서 일어나시더라구요. 바로 앉아서 치긴 좀 그래서 화장실 다녀와서 피아노 의자에 앉았습니다. 그리곤 생각을 했죠. '지금 내가 암보하고 있는곡이 뭐가 있지? 캐논변주곡, 작은별 변주곡, 쇼팽에튀드 10-4' 고작 세곡밖에 되지 않았습니다. 초등학교때 3년 치다가 관둔 이후로 다시 시작한지 5개월정도밖에 안되었으니 당연하기도 하지만요. 이 세곡을 완벽히는 아니더라도 끝까지 완주나 한번 해보자 하고 연주를 시작했습니다. 첫곡을 칠때는 정말 다리 떨리고 주변 의식되서 괜히 기웃기웃 거리고 그래서 혼났네요. 그런데 음악에 집중하다보니깐 나름 괜찮더라구요. 어찌어찌 세 곡을 다 연주하고 주변을 돌아봤습니다. 아무도 보고 있지 않더라구요. 생각보다 세상 사람들은 저에게 관심히 전혀 없었습니다. 홀가분한 마음으로 일어나서 걸어가고 있는데 벤치에 앉아있던 커플분들께서 마지막에 친 곡이 혹시 초절기교가 아니냐고 물어보셔서 깜짝 놀랐네요. 쇼팽 연습곡이라고 대답해드리고 얼른 도망치듯이 버스정류장으로 향했습니다. 등뒤에서 연주 잘들었다고 해주시는데 정말 고마웠습니다. 다음날은 노원역을 찾았습니다. 노원역은 선유도보다 사람들이 많더라구요. 그래서 도망칠까도 생각해봤는데 이왕 온김에 두곡은 쳐보고 가자라고 맘먹고 피아노에 앉았습니다. 노원역 피아노는 뎀퍼페달이 고장나서 연주에 집중하는데 정말 힘들었어요. 아무튼 선유도에서 보다는 수월하게 연주를 마쳤습니다. 돌아가는 길에 연주 마지막에 조금밖에 못들었다고 한곡 더 쳐달라고 하시는 아주머니가 계셨는데 시간이 없어서 연주는 못했네요. 그 아주머니께도 정말 감사했습니다. 그리고 오늘은 정말 사람이 많은 서현역 AK플라자를 찾아갔습니다. 만남의 광장 한가운데에 조그마한 무대위에 그랜드 피아노를 올려놓은 식으로 되어있었는데 이건 정말 콘서트홀에서 연주하는 기분이었습니다. 상당히 부담도 되더군요. 그 그랜드 피아노는 애경그룹 창사 61주년 기념으로 610명의 연주자가 피아노를 연주하면 610명의 연주자 전원의 이름으로 달려라 피아노에 기부된다고 하더라구요. 오늘 저도 540번대 연주자에 이름을 올리게 되었습니다. 이번에는 진짜 사람 엄청많고 피아노 치면 다들 피아노에 집중하는 분위기라서 연주를 결심하는데 힘들었는데, 취미생이 그랜드 피아노를 칠 수 있는 기회는 흔치 않기때문에 철판깔고 작은별 변주곡과 에튀드를 연주했습니다. 처음 연주를 시작할 때 반짝 반짝 작은별 주제를 치는데 뒤에 앉아계시던 아저씨의 비웃는 소리? 가 오히려 큰 힘이 되어서 정말 열심히 연주했습니다. '다 큰 사람이 피아노를 친다는게 고작 동요냐'라는 메세지를 전달하는 비웃음인것 같았는데 위축되지 않고 오히려 제 1변주를 감성충만하게 연주하는데 도움이 많이 되었습니다. 에튀드까지 다 치고 일어나는데 많은분들께서 박수를 쳐주셨는데 얼마나 기뻤는지 모릅니다. 그분들께 일일히 인사하고 싶을 정도였어요. 내일은 DDP를 한번 찾아가 볼 생각입니다. 3일간의 경험으로 무대에 오른다는 두려움은 정말 많이 줄었고, 보잘것 없는 연주이지만 따듯한 시선 보내주시는 분들이 있다는걸 느끼게 되었네요. 연주회까지 앞으로 세달 반 정도 남았는데 연습 많이해서 다음번에는 선유도에서 리허설 하고 영상으로도 홍차넷 여러분들께도 보여드리고 싶습니다. 9월초쯤에 되면 사랑의 꿈도 암보해서 칠 수 있을것 같거든요. 그때까지 연습 열심히 하겠습니다. 사실 요즘 연습이 좀 질려가는 시기였는데 다시금 동기부여를 할 수 있는 좋은 경험이었습니다. 홍차넷에도 취미 피아니스트분들이 계신걸로 알고 있는데 달려라 피아노 한번 이용해 보세요. 생각보다 정말 멋진 경험입니다.
