 근무 끝나고 각잡고 아마존 프라임 신작 힘의 반지를 봤습니다. 첫날이라 그런지 2화 분량 밖에 없었습니다. 뭐 나오기 전부터 흑인 엘프, 흑인 드워프에 대해서 이런저런 말이 많았는데, 전 그때 솔직히 뭐 아무런 생각도 없이 그냥 언제 9월이 온다나... 이 생각 뿐이었습니다. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ. 그런데 한편으론 그분들의 걱정도 충분히 이해가 되었습니다. 문학과 예술은 소통을 해야지 주입을 하는 게 아니니깐요. 각설하고 봤던 제 소감은 뭐.... 아직은 세계관 썰 풀고 주인공들 등장하고 소개하느라 정신없어서 그런지 진도가 나가는 느낌은 아니었습니다. 그리고 대규모 전투나 액션도 없었고요. 그래서 지루한 파트가 약간은 있었는데, 사람들이 욕할 정도로 pc로 범벅(솔직히 이정도는 2020년대이니 타협한다고 셈치고.)된 작품은 아니지만, 아직 재밌다 재미었다. 이런걸 속단하기는 이른 것 같습니다. 간단히 줄거리를 읊자면 엘프와 악의 세력과의 수 백 년에 걸친 대규모 전쟁이 발생하고 사우론을 추적하던 갈라드리엘 마님의 오빠가 역으로 사우론에게 당해 죽자, 사우론에게 복수하기 위해 추적한다는 내용입니다. 중간 중간에 젊은 네드 스타크.... 아니 엘론드와 섀도우 오브 미들어스에 등장했던 켈레브림보르도 나옵니다.(이 둘은 지금 부분에선 갈라드리엘 마님을 다시 발리노르로 보내는 것 외에 크게 눈에 띄는 행적을 보이진 않습니다. 엘론드가 그나마 갈라드리엘 마님과 대화를 하더군요.) 그리고 그 와중에 사우론은 엘프의 추적이 미치지 않는 곳에서 조용히 마수를 뻗고 하늘에선 어떤 행려병자가 추락하는 이야기라고 볼 수 있겠습니다, 이번 편에서 제가 가장 크게 느낀건 반지의 제왕이니 힘을 빡줘서 그런가 CG가 장난이 아니게 좋습니다. 저는 세계수(? 이걸 달리 뭐라 말해야 할지 생각이 안나네요.)와 엘프의 도시, 그리고 드워프 도시에서 돈이 팍팍 쓴 티가 나서 빡빡이 제프 베조스의 사심이 조금 느껴 졌던 것 같습니다. 전 천천히 이 작품을 지켜 보면서 판단은 나중에 할려고 합니다. 아마존 있는 사람은 보는 걸 추천 합니다.
