저는 게을러서 좀처럼 네트 스피어에 흔적을 남기는 일이 없는데, 좀 전에 티타임 어떤 댓글을 보고 회가 동해서 글을 쓰기로 마음 먹었습니다. 정치적 행위 중 투표의 목적은 기본적으로 자신의 의사를 잘 대표할 것이라 기대하는 후보에게 지지 의사를 표명하는 것이라 생각합니다. 다음으로는 당선권에 있는 어떤 후보가 자신의 마음에 들지 않을 경우 해당 후보에게 반대하기 위해서 투표한다고 봅니다. 아래 내용은 제가 이번 대통령 선거에서 윤석열 후보가 당선되기를 바라지 않는 개인적인 이유 - 비록 이재명이가 대통령이 되더라도? - 를 설명하는 것입니다. 매우 개인적인 이야기지만 저는 2010년에 취직을 하게 되었습니다. 마침 이명박이 대통령이 되면서 국책 연구소 예산까지 화끈하게 칼질해서 기존 근무 인원 급여까지 1/4가량 감봉되던 시기였죠. 전 학부 졸업하기 전에 군대를 갔다 와서 대학원에 진학했기에 박사는 갈 생각이 없었으며, 당시는 진짜 하고 싶은 것만 했기 때문에 - 랩에 가서도 게임만 열심히 했다는 뜻입니다. - 가진 선택지는 ETRI에 가서 계속 하던 연구를 하거나, 게임회사 가서 좋아하는 게임으로 먹고 살거나였죠. 논문 주제는 SMT로 잡고 있었는데 그때는 빅데이터나 ML이 흥하기 전이라; 제가 학부생으로 연구참여 할 때 SMT하던 선배는 국내에 마음에 드는 자리가 없어서 싱가포르에 나가 있었습니다. 졸업 전 ETRI에서 면접, 어찌 보면 연구실 선배와 상담에 가까운 면담을 하면서 들은 내용은 아주 대단했습니다. 신규 TO가 없어진 건 아니라서 취직을 할 순 있는데 석사학위만 가지고 들어오는거니 2년 계약직, 2년 안에 박사 학위를 따면 2년 연장 가능이라 하시더군요. 심지어 줄 수 있다는 급여마저 당시 넥슨에서 들은 것 보다 많지 않았습니다. 저는 그냥 2MB 욕이나 하면서 연구는 때려 치우고 넥슨 가서 게임 프로그래머가 되었습니다. 입사 첫 해에 배정받은 곳은 메이플스토리 해외 서비스였습니다. 제가 배정받은 곳의 프로그래머는 저에게 인수인계를 하더니 순식간에 다른 부서로 사라졌습니다. 라이브 서비스 하는 MMORPG 인데, 매출이 수백억대인데 프로그래머가 신입 한명이었어요. 저는 1월 2일부터 출근했었는데, 설 전날에도 출근해서 버그 잡다가 기차 시간이 되자 퇴근해서 고향으로 내려갔습니다. 2010년 가을에 빅뱅 업데이트를 와우 대격변 할 때 같이 내놓겠다면서 일정이 촉박하니 현지 출장 가라고 해서 떠날 때 쯤에는 스튜디오 내부 근태 관리툴에 기록된 근무시간이 4000시간이 좀 넘더군요. 1년에 4천시간이 아니라 9개월 남짓한 시간에 달성한 업적입니다. 개인적으로는 학교에서 편하게 지내다가 경험치 2배 이벤트 1년 땡기고 프로그래머로 변신한 시기였긴 한데; 또 하라면 아마 못할겁니다. 뭐 그래봤자 포괄임금제라서 평일에는 8시에 출근해서 새벽 2시에 퇴근해도 저녁 식대 6500원 추가로 받는 것, 주말에는 택시비 명목으로 6만원 + 야근식대 청구 가능한 것이 다였습니다. 당연히 사람 살 곳이 못되는 환경이라 이력서 관리 차원에서 어찌어찌 1년 버티고 탈출 버튼 눌러서 자리를 옮겼고, 16년에는 드디어 신규 프로젝트 런칭을 하게 되었습니다. https://new.redtea.kr/free/4321 에 그 흔적이 남아 있는데, 결론만 이야기 하면 망했습니다. 회사에서는 인원 솎아내기를 하려고 프로젝트를 접기 전에 부서를 통째로 계열사로 전배를 시켰고, 제가 입사 첫 해 갈려나가던 곳의 부서장이 그 계열사 사장으로 가 있었네요. 그리고 전배에 동의하지 않으신 분들이 무보직 상태로 버티던 와중에 저는 새 소속법인 인사 부서장과 대표이사와의 단체 면담 자리에서 왜 근로 계약서를 안주느냐, 이거 신고하면 한사람당 150만원 벌금인거 알고 있느냐고 따지고 있었습니다. 참고로 그때쯤 넥슨에 노조가 생겼고, 저에게 노조 설립하신 분들이 찾아와 '전배 과정에 강압이 없었느냐, 도움이 필요하면 이야기 해 달라' 정도의 이야기를 해 주고 가셨습니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 프로젝트가 깨지고 인력 재배치가 있었는데 그때 지금 넥슨의 개발 부사장으로 계신 분과 면담하면서 '10년전에 나한테 왜 그랬어요' 하고 포괄임금제 없는 회사로 도망간 이야기 같은 건 TMI니 재껴두기로 하겠습니다. 저는 대충 이렇게 살아 왔고 개인적으로 윤석열이 대통령 되면 저를 비롯한 노동자의 삶이 더 힘들어 질 거 같아서 싫습니다. 윤석열씨가 대통령이 되면 국가적 과학기술 역량이 무사할까요? 또 ETRI 나 ADD 예산에 칼질할 거 같은데요. 2MB때 저 처럼 연구 때려 치우고 먹고 사니즘에 묶이는 사람만 양산하지 않을까요? 120시간이나 해고 프로그램 운운 하는 것이 이전 누군가처럼 비지니스 프렌들리한 언동을 보이고 있는데 노동자의 삶을 더 힘들게 만들지 않을까요? 제가 윤석열이 대통령이 되는 모습은 상상도 하고 싶지 않은 것에 대해서 근로자라면 동의할 수 없더라도 최소한 이해는 얻을 수 있지 않을까요? 물론 저 처럼 개인적인 원한 때문에 반대로 민주당이 망하고 현 정권이 쪽박 차는 모습을 보고 싶은 분이 계실 수도 있다는 건 충분히 인지하고 있습니다. 그런데 저보다 더 연배가 높으면서 근로소득으로 생활을 유지하는 노동자라면, 이명박근혜나 그 이전의 군부/신군부 시절이 과연 지금보다 더 근로자에게 좋은 시대라 생각해서 회귀를 바라시는지는 진짜 궁금합니다. 이명박 박근혜 시절이 저는 지금 정권보다 살기좋았다고 생각합니다.
노동을 하는 목적이 뭡니까? 명예나 직업자체가 욕구를 충족시키는 분들도 있겠지만 대다수는 돈을 벌기위해 일하고, 돈이 필요한 이유는 의식주를 해결 하기 위해서겠죠.
그런데 가장 기본적인 문제인 부동산에 대해서 만큼은 이번 정권은 어떻게 평가조차 할 수 없을 만큼 최악이었다고 봅니다.
아예 노동자들의 근로의욕을 상실시키고 전국민을 계층화 시키고 사다리마저 부숴버렸죠.
이재명은 지지율이 떨어지니 부랴부랴 공약을 바꿨지만 그 이전에는 지금 정권보다 훨씬 매운 맛의 발언을 꾸준히 해왔습니다. 그리고 그리 될 경우 부동산 문제는 더 극심해질 거라고 봅니다.
이명박근혜 때가 태평성대도 아니었고
그들이 부패하지 않았던 거도 아닙니다.
하지만 지금정권보다 노동자로서 살기 좋았냐라고 물으시면 저는 맞다고 답할 것이고, 이재명은 지금 정권보다도 더 삶을 힘들 게 만들 거라고 생각합니다.
