- 제목이 제목이니 일단 김정수 감독 이야기부터 하면, 저는 김정수 감독이 팀의 전략 방향성 같은 디렉션을 주는 데에는 능한 사람일지 몰라도 팀원들을 다독이거나 보호하는 매니지먼트 측면에서 좋은 사람인지는 모르겠습니다. 뭐 내부적으로 선수들과의 사이가 어쨌는지는 모르지만, 언론과의 인터뷰에서 선수 탓 하는 게 문제가 되었던 것도 하루이틀 이야기가 아니었으니 그것만 봐도 리스크는 있는 사람이었지요. 그게 전 T1 와서 제대로 터졌다고 봅니다. - 김정수 감독이 서머 중반부터 페이커를 팀 구상에서 배제시킨 것에 대해, 그 일의 발단이 김정수 감독 자신의 구상이었든 페이커의 폼이 떨어졌기 때문이든 그것 자체는 감독의 고유 권한으로서 할 수 있는 일이었다 생각합니다. 그러나 결국은 과정도 실패하고 결과를 내는데도 실패한 격이 되었습니다. 다른 선수를 보면, 테디의 폼은 서머 막바지에 갑자기 하락한 것도 아니었고 커즈의 기복과 챔프폭 문제도 마찬가지였습니다. 그렇다면, 김정수 감독이 말하는 하나가 되는 팀을 만들기 위해 페이커를 그렇게 배제시킬 거였으면 다른 선수에도 예외는 없었어야 했는데, 과정이든 결과든, 그렇게 하지 못했지요. 주전으로 붙박이했던 커즈와 테디, 그리고 페이커의 대체자로 투입된 클로저는 포스트시즌의 실패 이후 선발전에서 완전히 배제되었고, 팀의 명운을 가를 선발전에서는 칸엘페구에라는 일주일만에 급조한 조합이 나와야 했습니다. 김정수 감독이 말했던 공격적인 팀을 만들겠다느니 오더 일원화가 되었다느니 팀이 하나가 되었다느니 했던 소리는 결과 이전에 그 과정만으로도 이미 다 허튼 소리고 공염불이 된 상태지요. 또한 아프리카전 승리 이후 언론과의 인터뷰에서 베스트 멤버가 아니었다는 식으로 입을 턴 것도 또다시 불을 지르기에 충분했습니다. - 결국, 금요일에 그 사달이 난 감독의 거취 문제도 결국 자신이 먼저 기자에게 연락한 것이 드러나고 공식 발표문에서도 [김정수 감독님이 롤드컵 진출 실패에 대한 책임을 지고 사임 의사를 표명, 이에 구단은 고민 끝에 김정수 감독님의 의사를 받아들여 상호협의하에 계약을 해지하게 되었습니다.]가 되면서 끝까지 매끄럽지 못한 모양새가 되었습니다. 이대로라면, 김정수 감독이 실력은 있으되 말을 가리지 못하는 사람으로 굳어지지 않을까 우려됩니다만, 본인이 뿌린 씨앗이니 알아서 잘 수습했으면 합니다. - 경질 과정에서 페이커가 김정수 감독을 나가라고 한 것도 아니고 주전 기용에 불만을 표출한 것도 아닌데 마치 페이커의 영향력으로 김정수 감독이 나갔네 뭐네 하는 사람들은 그렇게 해서라도 페이커를 디스하고 싶나 하는 가엾고 딱한 마음마저 듭니다. T1보다 페이커 개인이 받는 관심이나 악플의 정도가 훨씬 심하면 심했지 덜하지 않은 게 사실인 것을 감안하면 저는 페이커가 작금의 상황에 누구에게든 '언해피'를 띄웠어도 딱히 이상한 일은 아니었다 봅니다. 선발이었든 아니든 팀에 불평 한 마디 안 하고 묵묵히 경기 준비나 하고 있는 선수를 그렇게 디스하고 싶다면 페이커가 태만했다거나 정치질했다는 합리적 의심의 근거라도 들고와야 맞는 게 아닙니까. 스포츠에서 주전기용으로 사달이 나는 일은 흔한 일이고, 심지어 메시조차도 바르셀로나의 이번 시즌 처사를 보고 팀을 떠난다 만다 이런 소리 했던 판인데. 이렇게 억까들이 창궐하는 거 보면 페이커가 망하길 바라는 사람이 참 많다 싶습니다. - 다음 감독과 차기 시즌의 로스터가 어떻게 될지는 모르겠으되 T1은 제발 선수들이 게임에 좀더 집중할 수 있는 환경이나 만들어줬으면 합니다. 뭐 예전에도 다른 팀보다 심한 면은 있었을지 모르되 T1이 비시즌은 물론 시즌 중에도 선수들 광고 찍고 방송 하고 어쩌구저쩌구 하는 꼴 보면 기둥뿌리를 뽑아서까지 착취해서 다 털어먹고 나갈 기세입니다. 작년 한 해 마타 선수 따라 흘러들어가 T1을 응원해 봤던 한 사람으로 T1이라는 팀의 팬심에 대해서 느낀 바를 적어보자면 극단적으로 팀보다는 선수 팬이 많다는 점입니다. 팀이 잘 되는 것에는 별 관심이 없어요. 페이커라는 선수의 존재가 얼마나 빛나느냐가 중요한 팬들이 너무 많아요. 그게 이번 시즌에 터진거죠. 대부분의 팬들이 당연하다는 듯 플레이오프에 가면 페이커가 뛰어야 하는 것 아니냐를 대전제로 두니까 썸머시즌 말에 말이 나오기 시작하는거죠. 슬슬 페이커가 나와서 잘 하는 모습을 보여주고 플레이오프에서 캐리해서 '오~ 구세주'... 더 보기
